Gender as a Victim Factors Related to Gender that Might have Contributed to the Vulnerability of the Victim Vulnerability of victim is the of affair that makes the person prone to consequences of intentional or unintentional offense. People are generally vulnerable due to factors including age, gender, physical condition and mental state among others. With regard to the gender differences it is observed that females are more prone to be the vulnerability of victim as they are regarded as a weaker section (Kreuter, 2006).

In this regard, Morash (2006) argued that female are been the prime victims of gender-related victimizations including the sexual assault, trafficking as well as sexual harassment. Moreover, in the case of Emily the attitudes, perception and situations were the key factors regarding the aspect of gender that contributed to the vulnerability of the victim. The lacunas of police in not considering report of the case directly are also perceived to be a key symbol of evidence that female gender gets less importance over the male gender. Besides, unavailability of mental health professionals, social workers and behaviour that healthcare physician projected reflect a big bridge in the criminal justice system in this particular analysed case.

In this similar context, during the year 2000 to 2009, on the overall victim of crimes only 20% females have significantly noticed to receive assistance from police (Langton, 2011). Eventually, after conveying the activities of domestic violence by Emily to the lawyer, still the court violates the case due to lack of evidence, which clearly reflects the inequality in justice system.
