Best Sellers Books Going through the list of the top ten Amazon Kindle and print best sellers reveals that there is a common trend in the author names (Swanson 2). Most of the books are from the same authors. More so, they align themselves to almost same printing organization. Mostly the list does not have a variety of publishers. The unit sales are much higher in 2014 than in 2013 (Holt, 22). In 2014, the print bestsellers unit sales differed, by small margins, from one book to the other.
Books in the Adult Nonfiction category have higher sales than those in adult fiction classification. In the two classes, there is no monopoly of authors in the top 20. More so, authors are either in one category or the other (Rodgers 11). It implies that no author writes in both categories but only specialize in one type. Additionally, there is no monopoly of authors in year 2015 in the combined e-books fiction and print. Every week different books sell at different rates and as such no book is consistently leading the charts.
Fiction books involve writing of imaginative narratives. As such, there exist no monopoly of writers between the years 1950 to 1959 (U.S Accounting Office, 15). In most years, different authors appear in the top 10 with only few or none that were present in past years. In the non-fiction category, individual books and authors appear in continuous years. The guide for better homes seems to do good as it looks for large parts between 1950 and 1959. Between the years 1904 and 1909, Barr McCutcheon is an author that is constantly in the top 10 bestsellers (Cader, 16). More so, more authors appear regularly in the list but with different books.

Fiction and the Media in the English-Speaking World

...Fiction and the Media in the English-Speaking World 27 March 2008 There has always been somewhat of a schism between so-called serious readers of fiction and media treatment of the same. Books that make the bestseller lists and stay there include everything from Toni Morrison to Zadie Smith to the likes of American trash-romance writer Nora Roberts or mystery writer John Grisham, bestseller lists and are a nuanced reflection of the public value of fiction. Fiction, as reviewed by the Guardian, the New York Times, and other major newspapers of the English-speaking world, is as varied in tastes as it is in quality as are humans themselves. The media is apt to seize upon books that provide a human touch, that present a fresh take... on the...

Kill a mocking bird

...Research on To Kill A Mockingbird When I first read it at 11, I was simply absorbed by the way it evoked the mysteries of childhood, of treasures discovered in trees, and games played with an exotic summer friend.
