Teacher Writing and Reporting News, page 216, exercise The scene involves a typical conversation between two college teenage girlswhere they talk about who they find the most attractive male in their circle of friends. In the conversation, they also talked about criteria of what makes a male attractive or “hot” in their lingo. The conversation happened in the hallway as these girls observe “check” the males passing their way. For privacy, these girls will be hidden under the name of Ana and Clariz.

Ana made the first conversation where she observed a male acquaintance passing there way where she remarks “Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, its Erick, look Clariz look he’s coming on this way!”. Clariz replied, “no kidding, where?”. Ana retorted, “on your left girl but don’t make a huge turn you will become obvious”. Clariz said “Lord Almighty, look at those arms and chest, I can’t wait to be crushed by those, I am going to faint right now”. Ana however admonished Clariz saying “ssshhh!

You are so obvious!” “Oh my God, Oh my God! He smiled at me, he’s so cute!”. Ana countered “hey bitch, its you who is obvious now, flirt!”. Clariz however commented “He smiled at I am gonna so die right now”. Each girl smiled at the person named Erick when he passed by. The girls did not resort to hysteria and surprisingly managed to composed themselves when the person of their interest passed by. After which, they described his physical anatomy and what they imagined he can do where the details may need to be redacted to make it acceptable for public consumption.

The manner they described Erick attest that words can assume another meaning when it is used to describe a person.
