World health day Introduction Apparently, the role of healthcare in the development of a nation is inevitable. On that note, it is worth noting that healthcare forms a very big part of the economy of a nation. Evidently, poor healthcare serves to cripple the economic growth of a nation by affecting the work force and consequently, reduce the labour force required for a particular job. However, all this can be prevented altogether before its effects become unbearable.
Notably, the theme of the world health day was the idea of better leadership to boost economic growth of a nation. Apparently, the minister of health, Mr Peter nyongohighlights the role of healthcare in the development of businesses. Moreover, the president, Uhuru Kenyatta, also emphasised on the relevance of maintaining good health among citizens thus falling in line with the day’s theme.
In fact, in order to champion the day’s theme, white ribbons were sold to people in attendance in a bid to raise revenue to support the activities relevant to the course of boosting healthcare for instance restocking the healthcare facilities within the vicinity of the meeting with medicine. To this end, the event served to emancipate the locals on the importance of maintaining good health for personal growth and on the long run for the development of the economy of the country as a whole.
