Cleaver has written about his race segregation in America where he discovered that being a black man growing up in America a person was indoctrinated with the white race’s standards of beauty. He wrote about the white woman-black man problem that he finally discovered was a personal problem and no one could make him change his perspective; he alone could only resolve the problem. According to cleaver, he sees the problem of white woman-black man as a problem that should not continue bothering generations, he sees the problem as being revolutionary, but a person can get out of the problem by learning early on the problem. Friedan wrote about the way American women who were housewives felt. They felt that they never defined themselves as to whom they were. The women felt that they had no career to identify themselves with; they needed to adjust their role as housewives.
Cleaver argued that the White woman-Blackman sickness/problem needed to be brought to the open dealt with and resolved (Cleaver 27). At present, an issue that could be brought in the open is that of increasing the number of women running for high positions like, the senate and presidency.
