The result is the creation of a global corporate network system. Creating a centralized system in terms of data storage with single storage.Control measures have to be put in place however to govern this process. Since global integration utilizes the resources from different geographical regions. Considering the cost of human capital, the IT infrastructure, and the ultimate information system in different locations that the system needs to set up in. cloud technology has significantly altered businesses that interact over a network (Stephens, 2000).

Sales, delivery, and production processes are interconnected into one flow of information that can be accessed centrally from different locations. In this case, the scope of the project is tied to the application of cloud-based manufacturing systems such as enterprise resource planning (ERP). Such applications are adopted because they employ cloud technology across the business and ideal for global companies. Indeed, this improves efficiency in terms of easing data handling. For the company to achieve its goals, the company should employ the use of these tools: data collection tools, web analytics tools, and resource tracking applications.

IT experts will be tasked with the implementation of this task. offshore data collection will be done at that location while data processing and analysis are done on-site. Project managers are required to create a project plan for their respective sitesRe-engineering implementation can be divided into three sections or phases. The project before definition, during definition, and after it has been designed. Included are new business opportunities.Customization, which will mostly affect upgrades from old systems to new ones.

Network engineer and information system specialist are tasked with its implementationInterfaces- This includes interfaces such as operating systems in the company’s computer. Windows is the most ideal for the task.Architecture- once the requirements are approved by senior management, technical and application architecture can be designed.

Application architecture

Technical architecture

  • Conversion- necessary data will have to be converted to conform with the upgraded system.
  • Testing- integration testing, load testing, tuning and network testing are necessary.
  • Training- training sessions to educate employees on how to use the new system.
  • Funding- the budget should not exceed $500,000

Goals and Objectives

The main goal of the project is to ensure complete representation of of details required to deploy and manage the project, enable communication among project stakeholders, and documentation of project baselines.

  • The goal of the project is to upgrade the information system of the company that provides data collection and analysis.
  • The goal of the project also is to support the vision and mission of the company.
  • Help the company maintain and improve customer relations.
  • A system that fully flexible and easy to use by employees as well as users.

High-Level Overview

A list of some of the project deliverables:

  • Corporate data model- that describes the entire flow of information throughout the system i.e. how the system works. The model gives an overall framework for how data is collected, stored, and manipulated within the system.
  • Hardware/software- analyzing and determining the suitable hardware and software components that can be used.
  • Web based mapping- since the system is global, a feature that links it with the web is necessary i.e. having a website or a domain.
  • Standards and procedures- promoting standards guarantees reliability, consistency, and quality of the system. While use of procedures allows for a consistent approach. General types of standards and procedures include; software standards, metadata standards, application development development standards, and data development/maintenance standards.
  • Application development capability- since off the shelf systems cant possibly factor out all the issues of the system. An application development environment has to be set up within the company to deal with emerging issues.

Realistically Estimated Cost Analysis

Describing cost and budget needed to complete the project tasks. Included are the cost for the ongoing support and after the project is implemented.

  • Budget during the life of the project is described in details including, materials, labor, and other variables.
