The 21 century is deemed to digital eve characterized by technological advancement. Technological advancement has brought about new effective and efficient technologies for improving the manner of conducting daily lives. Cloud computing constitutes amongst the primary technological advancement of the time whose adoption and deployment has taken place in quick succession. This has been attributed to the pros associated with the adoption of the same.  Cloud computing is deemed to be a kind of computing-based technology that utilizes internet connection to facilitate the sharing of computing resources, management of applications and data (Armbrust et al. 2010). Therefore, cloud computing is primarily based on an internet connection where clients can access cloud computing services via a network.

Additionally, in cloud computing, the cloud services are provided by cloud service provided remotely. This implies that the client seeking cloud services at times tends to be miles and miles away from the service provider. For, what matters most is the internet connection that connects clients' systems with the service provider's computing resources to facilitate service provision. Notably, it is worth noting that cloud computing services are provided to customers on two bases; pay as-needed business model and the pay-per-use business approach (Armbrust et al. 2010). Pay as-needed approach dictates the customer pay for the cloud computing services based on their requirements.

The business needs for which the cloud service provider seeks to seek out for the customers. On the other hand, the pay-per-use approach dictates that the customers pay for the service incurred based on the extent of use of the cloud computing services either for using; platform, applications, or resources. Eventually, cloud computing tends to offer cloud computing services in three models; software (SaaS), platform (PaaS), and infrastructure (IaaS) (Rittinghouse & Ransome, J. F. 2016). The software as a service model involves software applications and packages availed for use to customers at the agreed cost.

For instance, GMAIL, Google docs, statistical software, etc. Platform as a service involves the provision of applications from where the businesses can run. For instance, Salesforce, Microsoft Azure. Finally, the infrastructure as a service, this model involves been provided with infrastructure or resources such as data centers, servers for which the client can develop their own applications or run their own software packages.
