Pros and cons of browsers Symptoms There is a frequently asked question in relation to the browser types and the question is pegged on the selectivity of the browser. There has always been a big problem when it comes to selection of the browser types to use because all of them are believed to be serving the same purpose. Due to this difficulty in decision making, various symptoms are listed out to help in comparison. The symptoms of the three major browsers are weighed to ease selectivity and decision making. Some of the symptoms associated with Firefox, internet explorer and goggle chrome are, first there is inefficiency where we get that; 1) Goggle chrome depends on Firefox for full support for it cannot operate on its own. This can be seen when one opens conducts a search in the browser and only to see this browser linking some of its results to the old version of Firefox. Firefox also has some bits of inefficiency in its work. Though Firefox is believed to have a high speed, it still experiences a slow speed rate when it comes to loading some pages that are of huge kilobytes. Internet explorer also experiences a slow speed that makes some of its services to delay the user. 2) All the browser types have their own features and this is due to the difference in programming. There are certain features that might be of great importance to the user but due to the difference in browser types he or she cannot access it unless he or she goes or log in to another browser in which the feature is found. This gives the users difficult task especially when it comes to logging in from one browser to another. Problems The problems facing these three browsers are; slow speed rate, lack of some basic feature contents and advancement in technology. On the issue pertaining to the speed rate for the these browsers, It is found that all of them have got various speed rates depending on the programming criteria used during their build ups. Of all the three browsers, Firefox has the highest speed though it also experiences some bits a delay in rendering of its services. On the other hand, goggle chrome follows immediately after Firefox in terms of speed due to the fact that it depends on Firefox for some of its services to be successful. It can therefore be said that internet explorer is the browser with the slowest speed. On the matters of pertaining to features, it is found out that various features are also governed by different commands or instructions depending on the programming. The browsers are programmed by different people hence the commands cannot be the same. This similarity in command can only be found it some rare occasions. In terms of browsers, Firefox has many features compared to the rest of the browsers and it is immediately followed by internet explore and finally, the goggle chrome which has the fewest amount of features. Technological advancements are also one of the problems faced by the browsers. This affects the browsers in that, when technology advances new versions of the browsers must also be put in place to match various tasks that are accompanied by this advancement. This seems to be a bib problem though Firefox doesn’t find it difficult to change the versions. Internet explorer and goggle chrome find it difficult to change versions due poor marketing hence tend to depend on Firefox for progress. This dependence is mostly observed in goggle chrome where it makes good use of the old version dropped by Firefox Problem analysis Research has always been carried out to find out ideal ways of curbing these problems though it has not been successful due to the change in technology. Technology is dynamic in nature hence the methods or solutions found cannot match the problems at hand. Browsing speed is one of the basic requirements expected of a browser. This is so to evade delays in every sort of communication or transaction done over the internet. Very many people prefer browsers with a fast speed as they perform some of the net tasks faster. Features are also important things that a browser should have though there are those browsers with less features hence cannot perform some of the tasks a user may want. The features of internet explorer are efficient though they are few. This browser uses its own features to perform various tasks and does not depend on any other browser type for help or stability. The only problem associated with this browsers lack of some basic features that can help in solving certain tasks. Goggle chrome on the other hand, is not stable due to lack of many features hence depend or compact with Firefox for stability. This browser still lacks several features that cannot make it to be used by many people. Those who are interested in this browser must upgrade Firefox as it is the pillar of goggle chrome as a browser. Change in technology is another problem that involves a lot of processes to be curbed. Technology affect the browsers in that, as technology advances, some of the discoveries and features in the net becomes obsolete hence calling for improvement or upgrading. The process of upgrading these features at times tends to be a difficult task hence making some of the browsers to lag behind technologically. Alternatives Some of these problems experienced involves a lot of processes to be stabilized hence various alternative are supposed to e put in place to safe the whole process. These alternatives are supposed to go through a thorough evaluation to ascertain their efficiency and potential in cubing some of these problems. The alternatives are not only meant to curb the present problems but also to safeguard or protect any other problem that may arise. An alternative is so not meant to deal with the present situation but they are some of the measures that should be taken to ensure everything runs smooth and is well taken care of. This can only be effective if these measures are kept at a close watch and every problem is dealt with immediately (Branch, 2009). There are some of the measures that are most likely to become obsolete or of no importance after certain period of time. Due to all these problems and measures that are to be taken, an institution should therefore choose a browser that does not entail so many problems any be to include is weakness. The committee of technology and planning made some of the decision after reading some of the pros and cons of the browsers that I tabled before them. The decisions were based on the comparisons of problems and quality of the browsers. They chose the best out of the three browsers and in this selection, they decided to support the use of Firefox as it was good compared to the two others which are Goggle chrome and Internet explorer. One of reasons that made the committee to select this browser was because it had very many features and efficient speed. The browsers were also chosen because it was on market and many people used it. With the large population using it, it could be more advantageous to reach more people and even to transact over the internet through this browser. Finally, the implementation of this browser was approved hence used in upgrading all the computers within the institution. Work cited Branch, R. B. (2009). Instructional Design: The ADDIE Approach.
