How new media has changed the way in which individuals communicate With the arrival of the new media, it has become pertinent to take charge of the essential elements that outline the very essence of communication within the time and age of today. What this implies is the fact that the new media forms have more or less brought into focus the manner and ways under which communication regimes get bolstered and success within the same ranks are brought about. What is even more interesting is the fact that the new media will allow the people a greater role to play, and to interact with the best possible link that they have in their minds, and thus connect as and when they wish so. This paper discusses the ways and means through which the new media has been able to make its mark on the technological landscape and the leeway that it provides to the individuals to communicate with the rest of the world. The new media has sparked a lot of interest amongst the men and women in the present times. This has suggested for their immense growth and development amongst the related ranks. The need is to decipher the exact meaning of the new media before one moves ahead further. How this new media has manifested for immense growth and the related basis is something that shall remain in the coming times as well. With the arrival of the social networking websites like Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and the like, the world has become connected in the sheer sense of the word. The new media has made all these tangents come into the reckoning with one another and the possibilities seem endless all the same (Hammer, 1999). The blogs, podcasts, webinars, ezines, bulletin boards, etc. are just a way to get along with what’s hot and what’s in. It asks of the people to remain in touch with each other and be glued to their respective screens for a long period of time. This is an essential understanding that has come about with the passage of time. What remains to be seen is the fact that these blogs, podcasts, webinars allow the users of the Internet and the new media to experience individuality and uniqueness that they had never witnessed before. They get along with new thoughts and reckonings which were unexplored and untapped in the past, and this makes the entire exercise of getting along with the new media manifestations in a very ideal setting. The new media technologies have provided no boundaries at all to the users of such advancements and innovations. The limits seem endless and there are immense reasons to believe such premises. The introduction of the social networking tools and websites has basically put the entire emphasis on setting things right, on making available resources which were unheard of in the past, and in highlighting the shortcomings that were well-known in the yesteryears, prior to the induction of the social networking technologies and advancements. What is even more interesting is the phenomenon that highlights the very basis of attaining significance within the changing dynamics of the technological domains, and how users can collectively as well as individually gain their niche in the related scheme of things. Having said that, it is important to draw the line between what is termed as acceptable and what is deemed as otherwise. In today’s environment, the use of blogs, podcasts and webinars has provided amenities which no other technology in the past did. Now organizations can get in touch with other business domains or even individuals to find out about new business opportunities or to hire people from a different world region altogether. There seem to be endless possibilities in the waiting and the role of the social networking regimes has only highlighted the strengths that remain within such quarters (Grant, 2006). It is a fact that the world of Internet has brought about a giant paradigm shift within the understandings that are reached upon, as far as the methodologies of the social networking tools and websites are concerned. The Internet is the essential tool that has made the lives of the people very easy, and because of it a great deal of success has been achieved with the passage of time. These blogs are used to highlight the essential understandings that people have reached upon with their respective life experiences. Similarly, the podcasts are another way of expressing one’s own thoughts and perceptions, which are quickly relayed over the Internet to reach a select group of audience. The webinars are essentially the web-related seminars that take place over the Internet or made available to the people who are at distant locations around the world. The social networking regimes have attained so much and that too in the least amount of time that man has been amazed endlessly. Rightly put, the entire role within such domains has rested on the shoulders of the people who have brought about a vision to set things right, and that too in a quick enough way. These are some of the best examples that have come to the fore, and have made lives easier for the people, without any hindrances or problems whatsoever. Even the students of today are receiving the kind of attention through the new media forms which they were unable to get in the past. They are now banking on patterns of individual growth and development under the aegis of the technological domains, which has meant a great deal of understanding and comprehension on their part. It has made their lives easier because they have deciphered the true essence of the new media and how this could help them make their own mark within the changing world of present times (Wankel, 2011). They know that globalization is present for their own benefits and success can only be attained if they are hands-on with the changing technological realms, more importantly the new media forms and ways. The teenagers bank strongly on the strengths that remain hidden within the world of social networking as websites like Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and others provide them the ultimate platform to get along with their family members, friends and the people they would like to know about or to get acquainted with. They are constantly on the move and want to discern the very basis of their success through these social networking tools. To conclude with the discussion at hand, it is important to realize the real role of the new media. What the new media does in essence is to allow a chance to the people to get along with their wishes and desires, and to communicate with the people they wish to be with. Correctly put, the new media is instituted because it wants to give the users of the Internet a platform from where they can find pathways to progress and reach out to their loved ones as and when they require. It is the eventual manner of touching one’s heart, and the new media makes all of that a possibility. All said and done, the new media forms and tangents that have been touched upon during the length of this essay are here to survive and even get bolstered in the times to come. Now is the era to make dreams turn into possibilities by allowing the new media to have its say in the manner it wants to. This shall make the entire exercise of understanding how the new media operates and how it brings immense value and quality for the people all around the world. References Grant, I., 2006.
