This network will provide a better facility regarding the data communication and transfer over the organizational network. This structure will offer a better data transfer and organizational communication. Here we have decided to implement the MAN (metropolitan area network) for the ACME Corporation. This size of the business and its communication needs did not supported through the organizational LAN, so the MAN is vital solution for this business. Network Technology MAN (metropolitan area network) plan services that hold up MAN can remain to the IEEE Standard that is IEEE 802.6 MAN standard from the establishment of IEEE (Electrical and Electronics Engineers). IEEE standard 802.6 MAN expresses the spread DQDB (or queue dual bus) arrangement outline as well as wires the OSI protocol, an infrastructure standard that outlines a networking structure by means of 7 layers. Below I have placed the main list of the equipment that we will require for the overall organizational communication. Network Cards for existing systems Routers Switches Main servers Wireless Transmitters New computer systems Communication Lines (Fiber optics, coax cable or twist pair) Hubs Stand by power generators Connecting the Ipswich and Brisbane locations For connecting the Ipswich and Brisbane locations the better solution is the establishment of the wireless communication infrastructure. This wireless network will provide the less expensive infrastructure as compared to the cable based network infrastructure. Here we will establish a better security based network system that will transmit the information through the wireless network communication. Network operating system Here for the establishment of the ACME Corporation communication Network we need to establish a network operating system that will be a software that manages ACME network as well as hands the its packet traffic as well as queues. This system will also provide the controls right of entry through several users to ACME network resources like that the files, as well as offers for convinced organizational gathering comprising security. The ACME network operating system manages all the operations and communication services through the networking features. Here I have researched the web and got that more popular network operating system are Microsoft Windows Server, Artisofts LANtastic, Novell Netware, and Windows NT. Here I have drawn out the main needs of the ACME Corporation communication Network. Through these main requirements and services we will access the network operating system choice. We will mainly require facilities of the File and print sharing, Security and Account administration for users connected to the ACME Network. Here we will also require facility of the network Components installation, Client functionality and Server functionality. The need of the File Sharing, Network services, Print sharing and Backing up data is also really essential for the ACME Network so we an operating system that can convince all these requirements. Through the comprehensive online research I have got that Microsoft Windows Server is really best for the ACME organizational needs and requirements for the data communication and sharing. Now best version of the Microsoft Windows Server is Microsoft Windows Server 2008. This version has better security implementation and effective client server’s services control. So I will suggest this network operating system for the ACME Corporation communication Network. Network security Network security is first step toward the organizational data and information security. ACME Corporation communication Network will require more effective network security parameters for the better safety to the business and data and information. Here we will follow following steps for the better online and inner departmental security of the network.
