Studies conducted by scientists have indicated that exposure to electromagnetic waves cause significant changes on the human body. Doctor Mercola indicates that although extensive research has not been carried out to determine the clear effects that radio radiation has on individuals, it would be a grave mistake to conclude that the emissions are inconsequential (Mercola, 2008). Some scientists have used rats to conduct similar experiments and have concluded that the radiation emitted by these devices has an effect on the biological and maturation processes of the rodents. Other researchers have scientifically linked some health complications such as sleep disruptions, dementia, fatigue, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Autism, Headaches, poor concentration and failing memory to the electromagnetic waves emitted by cell phones, cellular antenna and Wi-Fi devices. However, these health implications have other causes as well, although the radiation emitted from these devices cannot be ruled out. Cell phone, cellular antenna and Wi-Fi device radiation seems to create potential health risks to humans. Therefore, people should be worried about being exposed to this kind of radiation, as it has adverse effects on their health (Shelly and Vermaat, ...Download file to see next pagesRead More

Wi-Fi it? Majority of the scientists who have assessed the safety of Wi-Fi networks advocate the fact that there is no particular evidence to the WiFi connections being hazardous to health. The technology however is not very old. Thus any health hazards that may be slow would only be evident after a certain number of years. Till then it cannot certainly be judged whether a Wi Fi is safe or not. The radio waves that are used by a wireless device or network are relatively low in frequency. The 2.4GHz of radio waves used in the case of Wi-Fi are the non-ionizing type of...

...emission tomography (PST) scans, Volkow found a 7 per cent increase in the metabolism of glucose in the region of brain that was nearest to the antenna in people that held the cell phone on either side of the brain for 50 minutes. As a result of this research, Volkow concluded that cell phones generate electromagnetic radiation to which, the human brain is sensitive. The professor of neurosurgery, Keith Black is specifically concerned about the negative effects of the use of cell phones upon children’s brains because of the fact that the body defense in children is not as strong as it is...

Cell Phone Radiation Effects on Humans

...demodulation is the process of isolation of sound waves and carrier waves from the modulated radio frequency waves. “Modulated information-carrying radio waves resonate in biological frequencies of a few to a few hundred cycles per second, and can stimulate your cellular receptors causing a whole cascade of pathological consequences that can culminate in fatigue, anxiety and ultimately cancers” (How cellphone radiations can Affect Your Cells?) A cellular phone is basically a radio that sends signals on waves to a base station. The carrier signal generates two types of radiation fields: a near-field plume and a far-field plume. Living...

...that has to be sorted out in this regard is about the nature of the project that is to be implemented. After that is the question of the method of implementation of the project. The subject is new enough for it to be spelt in two different ways across the Atlantic, Wi Fi and Wi-Fi. The two sets of names have their own meanings. The combination, Wi-Fi does not mean Wireless-Fidelity, but was developed by Wi-Fi alliance and Interbrand Corporation together as a description of certain wireless products that are based on the 802.11 standards of IEEE. The item is also called WiFi,...

...Wi-Fi With the world developing newer technologies are evolving every day. These technologies are being introduced in the society so that the society can progress and develop. Things which were difficult previously have been made easier by these technologies. To make things easier for the society, computers and information technology had been developed. Now with more modern and complex inventions computers and information technology are further developing. One such development in the field of information technology has been the introduction of wireless fidelity. This wireless fidelity has progressed in the world now and has made things easier for computer users which previously were impossible (Aime et al 2007 & Korzeniowski 2008... ) By...

The Radiation Safety Standards In order to define the range within which the human body is safe from the hazards of the RF radiations emitted by cell phones, safety limits have been defined and made standards. Different countries have set different standards basing on the observations of different research organizations. In the United States, most of the telecom facilities, services, and devices to be used by industry, public, state and local government bodies are authorized and licensed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
