Introduction Indeed, social media has become one of the most dominant affairs in the present world. In a way, such media have completely influenced all sectors of life. As social media continues to grow across the world, several challenges seem to emerge. In the Arab world, politics is one of the most topical issues that define society. In this regard, the social media is normally used as a way of influencing operations in the political arena. In most cases, the focus is always the need to share information in order to seek political mileage.

Without doubt, Facebook and Twitter have greatly revolutionized the manner of politics in the Arab world. These influences are both positive and negative and are seen across the region. Research aimThe research seeks to delve into the concept of social media and how such media has influenced the political life in the Arab countries. Research objectivesTo investigate the usage of social media amongst people in the Arab countries, To find out the relevance of social media in the political situation across the Arab world, To conduct an elucidative literature review on the social media situation in the Arab countries and its connection to political life in the region, To explore how social media can be used positively to improve the politics in the Arab countries and eliminate the negative usage of this important platform andTo provide a conclusive solution to the challenge of social media with respect to politics in the Arab countries Research methodologyThis research will rely much on information from other secondary sources in order to build up a good understanding of the whole concept.

In this regard, previous studies and literature review will be an important consideration.The research will further rely on empirical study as a way of gaining in-depth primary source of information. In this regard, there will be a conclusive use of documentation review, interviews and questionnaires which will be used to gather much information. Rationale There has been a growing concern in the recent past reading the use of the social media in politics. Indeed, this concern arises out of the fact that politicians have realized the huge potential and opportunity presented by search media.

In this regard, Twitter and Facebook is used extensively as a way reaching millions of people. The recent happening seen in the Arab world which led to several cases of uprising were majorly fueled by the social media. People used such media in creating awareness and championing for their rights. Indeed, there is a growing fear that the social media is being misused in gaining political mileage and this certainly needs to be addressed. Case studyIn order to enhance the realization of the objectives, the research will focus on a case study which will center on one country so as to provide a clear picture of the whole situation in the Arab world.
