number the paper Future medical systems Global warming and climate change comes with devastating effects among them global health care and the threat of submerged lands. The rise of atmospheric temperatures also means that tropical diseases will spread out to continents previously not affected. In addition as the ice in the arctic and poles melts the sea levels would raise and in the process “swallow” coastlines and displace populations worldwide (Alegre). On the other hand the world populations are growing and cities all over are becoming more complex.

Heavy traffics on the roads almost all the time end up causing immobility in case if an emergency and therein lies the problem. Emergency medical evacuations will not be handled within the required time and paramedics will have a hard time navigating the streets in order to attend to patients. This paper will explore the possibilities of such an eventuality and propose a system that will counter its effects.Generally human populations want to thrive in a healthy environment and with it come the constant need to create opportunities that would help them realise the same.

With the current trends of industrialisation and the use of fossil fuels human race survival is threatened more so their health and land resource from which life is derived. In this regard technology can come in handy by coming up with a system that could help civilizations adapt to the global change. In the case of the global health being threatened in a congested and developed city by climate change the system should be able to create a quick link between the patient and hospital. It should be able to depict the patients’ exact location and condition to facilitate speedy access and help.

The system will comprise of three major components located at three different points. First the patient will be equipped with a temper proof wrists watch capable of monitoring normal body functions in this case heartbeat, respiration and blood pressure. This information will be relayed via radio to a central station/ database in this case the hospital where computers will interpret the data and signal a warning in case of any anomaly in the vital systems. Based on the complexity of the patients medical history which is stored in a remote database the wrist watch will either warn the patient and advice on steps for treatment or alert a medical team.

A scenario sketchScenario 1Scenario 2Scenario 3Patient with wrist watch that is abble to relay real time information of their health status.Hospital center which acts as the main control center for the sytem and also hosts medical team for critical cases.Paramedics team with a specialised vihecle for emergency evacuation and first aid.(Albert)In the case of patient being advised the system will automatically send a message to the patients regarding their status and refer them to the nearest health institution where they can be attended to, given a prescription or quick treatment administered.

On the other hand a complex medical situation such as an impending heart attack or gunshot the system will automatically relay this information to a medical team within the hospital and the paramedics. The second component of the system will reside in the command centre or the hospital premise. This will be a normal high end hospital that will comprise of a host of computers patients database and a medical team. This hospital will fully utilise advanced technology to diagnose and perform complex treatments and surgery with precision and accuracy.

The third and final bit will be the paramedics on a fully equipped flying car that would be able to manoeuvre the traffic easily and also access the patient quickly and on time.A concept sketchSpecialised vehicle for paramedics teamConcept wristwatch to relay information.
