The sector is known to deeply depend on computers to perform all its roles. In business, the term IT refers to usage of computer based information systems. It involves software development and its installation in planning and management of organizations technology. The software and hardware are frequently maintained and upgraded to cope with the rising technological advancements which are more reliable and efficient (Atlantic 34). Development of IT sector in India led to the creation of more than 15 million jobs. The country’s revenue increased the GDP to 133 US dollars. Cisco Company Cisco a leading network company launched new software’s, switches and services to transform its information technology in a more business oriented manner. The company has a vision of constructing new application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) architecture. The ACI plan has been raised due to the emergence of Software- Defined Networking (SDN). The ACI will reduce the time being taken in removal and change of applications to minutes for maximum efficiency. Construction of the Nexus 9000 switch will enable a network transition from NX-OS to the ACI- mode which has up-graded software and an additional control switch. With the application of ASIC’s and merchant Silicon, the system will have improved performance and more density port in data dispersion. The APIC is capable of managing about 1 million endpoints at ago. It operates independently of switch data and control panels hence the network will be operational even if the system is offline. The SDN allows the networking software to be controlled by software running on a commodity server but not by the Integrated Gear. The partnership is due to increased cyber and security crimes in institutions. Intel Company Intel Company builds and designs the appropriate technologies that act as the foundation for the computing devices in the world. The Company has a vision of shifting data-centers into ultra –mobile devices such as tablets phones. The company will embark on designing a 22nm system on a chip board for mobile devices. These devices are to save power since they will need low power for high performance. It is based on Silvermont micro-architecture for Windows and android phones besides production of 2 in 1 devices. These devices will contain sophisticated sensors and wearable computers. Intel plans to design a 3-Dimensin Tri-gate transistor which will lead to production of devices with improved performance, and energy efficient besides being small in size. Samsung Company Samsung has plans to produce products with high technological features that will enrich people’s lives rather than complicating them. These products will enable the society to see a world of discoveries. Use of On-TV will enable broadcasters to provide their viewers with unique shows and programs. The company plans to work with all local TV broadcasters to ensure that they are compatible with the system. TV channels are nowadays shifting from analog to digital which has more unique view. Shifting of many countries from analog transmissions to digital ones gives more clear view in our screens reducing environmental pollution due to the emitted waves. The 8559 TV is an ultra high definition digital device that is capable of delivering better pictures with higher contrast and deeper black. The company has plans to work with other countries beside Asia too. By the end of the year, the company has plans to introduce new TV applications from online banking to games. Google Company Google firm has plans to manufacture gadgets that the owners can detach components and upgrade it on their preferences. This project is called project Ara. A Dutch designer has already started drawing plans for these phones which will be built on a Lego where items can be removed and replaced. The device is to contain an endoskeleton which holds all the components together. The user will then be capable of adding or removing modules like cameras, batteries and processors replacing them with his or her preferences. Starbucks Corporation Starbucks Corporation is a cafe that has linked all its customers with Wi-Fi. The firm has plans now to link all its refrigerators, coffee makers and appliances with internet for efficient control. Manual control of these machines will be eliminated. The internet would be used to update the menu digitally providing information to the customers of what recipe is present at that time. The customers will need to travel to the cafe only to find out that their item of interest is missing. Customers will use the web to air their views about the coffee brands and preparations they wish. The company will not need to spend huge amounts of money circulating questionnaires inquiring some relevant information about their business. Connection of the fridges to the internet would give information when a packet of milk is spoilt besides the fluctuation of temperatures. Through the use of computer software’s, the error will be corrected, and everything will normalize. Wal-Mart Wal-Mart is a world re-known retail shop with many branches in the world. The company has closed 11stores and is planning to close more 30 stores in duration of one and half years since its growth is slowing down leading to huge losses. In a period of three months, it had a 2.9 percent loss. New facilities are being opened in China which is known to have most of its customers adopting technology through E-commencing. Customers will have the chance to know the prices and the safety of the goods being sold through the internet. This will help them make their decisions on what particular goods to buy depending on the cash they have. Microsoft Company Microsoft Company is embarking on production of more and better computer hard wares. The company has plans to form corporate associations with Delta airlines and City National Banking in supply of ARM-based versions of Surface Pro. The version will not run on the traditional Windows applications. The surface Pro will be more of a laptop replacement. More customers are now purchasing devices capable of operating using the Windows 8 version. The company also has plans to introduce blades which are detachable flat planes that can replace the keyboards in computers. Many years ago, calculations were done using analog methods like use of stones and sticks before the eruption of computers. The early developments produced computers which were so huge and inefficient in energy consumption. These machines could not multi-task. Development of transistors helped to curb high power consumptions (Atlantic 34). More research and innovations continued leading to production of the current computers. Development of communication devices like mobile phones is turning into android systems producing many smart phones with unique features like size, efficient power consumption and other applications. Mobile phone operators are shifting to high speed data processors like the 4G networks. Academic institutions nowadays are preparing the students with up-to-date education to curb the increased need of technology in business, hospitals, governance, schools and other organizations (Atlantic 34). It is clear that technological advancements are improving each and every day. It should be understood that the current skills we are gaining are just the basics in improvement of the IT sector. More sophisticated devices will be produced some years to come. This shows that whoever does not get a job after completing the studies will find it very hard in the future since more technology will have developed. The technology, which he or she will have learnt will have been modified into better designs. The first and second computer generations were so simple compared to the current generations. If their inventors were alive by then, they would see wonders since the current computers are so complex in structure and functioning. The first generation computers were so huge that they were the size of a room (Atlantic 34). Nowadays the development of laptops and other mini laptops have taken over everything. They are so small, fast and efficient in power consumption besides having so many other interior modifications. Initially we are in the micro technology whereby items like microchips are being incorporated in computers. Some years to come the world will have adopted the nanotechnology whereby so minute devices will be manufactured. More powerful and efficient devices are being made to satisfy the customers demand. Eruption of these technologies does not mean that what we are learning now will be useless. It implies that we will have some basics of how these devices are operating though we shall be un-aware of the mechanisms (Atlantic 34).
