Interactions on Medium.com are meant to provide a platform through which users are able to have beneficial engagements with peers and colleagues in order to enhance the quality of their mini essays. Through various interactions with other users on the platform, one can obtain new ideas and suggestions that can greatly improve their mini essays. Moreover, an individual can gain new information on issues they have not come across before their interactions on Medium.com.
In my interactions and engagement with other users on medium, I was able to receive a number of comments that helped me to improve my essays. For instance, there was a comment from Monique Bulte who requested that I should add more references and hyperlinks into the post in order to enable her and other users to access the source of my information on the topic, ‘Vectors and Borders.’ In addition, my posts proved to be important as they provided information that helped some users to understand some topics that proved challenging to them. Consequently, my posts were both enlightening and informative, providing clarity and insights into the topic. Some users who expressed their appreciation for an informative post were Neidy Priadisti L. and Wedley.
The process of commenting and interacting was quite challenging and daunting as sometimes it was difficult to present a negative comment on someone’s post. It hinders effective interaction and engagement for the purpose of learning. The challenge comes about as a result of the failure to differentiate positive criticism from negative criticism. Where a comment objective rather than subjective, and is free of malice as well as meant to have a positive impact, then one can overcome such a challenge.
Some of the best posts include the post by Bjorn MTJ (@Bjon MTJ), ‘The hunt for downloaders is completely wrong’; Monique Bulte’s (@Monique Bulte), ‘Music revolution: there is no longer a need to illegally download music with free and fair access, it is just no longer necessary’; and Luke Fenech’s (@lukefenech), ‘I said everybody say love.’ Bjorn MTJ’s post is interesting as well is to the point. It is informative in the very same way in which it is thought stimulating. The flow of ideas and explanations provided are concise and succinct. The post also provides important links to the page content where the reader can be able to access more information about a particular point that the person is trying to put across. Monique Bulte’s post stands out from the rest due to the manner in which she presents it. Her ideas and arguments flow coherently although they attract a lot of controversial comments. Monique Bulte’s post is among the very few posts that readers were able to express their disagreement with the content of what was posted. Luke Fenech’s post is a good post as it provides valuable information about the challenges that homosexuals face in countries where the practice is illegal. It also highlights the fact that social media sites have made it possible to realize some achievements such as recognition of homosexual relationships.
Conclusion
Interactions as well as deep and objective engagements on medium.com can be a valuable tool of enhancing the quality of mini essays posted on the platform. They act as a means of information dissemination, seeking feedback and idea acquisition. The feedbacks provided were meaningful, largely objective and thought provoking, hence, enabling me to enhance the quality of my mini essays.

@Neidy Priadisti L.
I like your perspective and relation of this topic and piracy. I agree on your point here because it basically what happened right now. Scary and flattering at the same time how hacker could provide us more knowledge then also threaten our own privacy
@Wedley
I got a little lost in the meaning of this week’s topic. Your essay helped me a little thanks for that
@Monique Bulte
Great post, outlines a really clear understanding of the topic, just might be worth adding a few references/hyperlinks into the post in regards to where you have gotten the information. You broke down both sides of the story in a coherent way.
Comments on Monique Bulte’s Post ‘Music revolution: there is no longer a need to illegally download music with free and fair access it is just no longer necessary’
@Bjorn MTJ
Your ingress is unfortunately not true. There is a huge need to download music, because of the music quality. Spotifys premium service (which cost money) offers 320 Kbit, which isn’t the best. The reason why Apples iTunes Store have been so popular the last few years is because of its quality. There is also background noise, which is completely deleted on iTunes; therefore, to get the best experience with the songs you want to listen to you will either need to pay or download music. And this is extremely important for those that are interested in music; and this is not something only a few people care about. Therefore there actually is a need for downloading if you are poor and want to enjoy music the best way. I hope this makes sense.
@Salam Hasanein
Hi Monique. Interesting post. I was not aware of Spotify until I read your post. After researching the tool, I read that there are two versions. One is free and the other is premium which costs around $ 8–9 per month. The difference I read between the two was the free version has ads in between songs and the paid version is ad-free. I would say if there are ads in between it may be a disadvantage to the user…
@Kelvin Mui
True. I definitely download less and less due to streaming services. There will always be room for ‘physical’ .mp3 files though, just because it feels like you own something.
@Danica Evani
I do agree! But sometimes when you are clinged into a certain habit, it is so hard to let go☹ which is so wrong!

This is very true, the idea of the ‘Music Revolution’ is to give you an alternative, so you can try and kick this habit, might be worth giving one of the online music streaming services a go;

Excellent point, Monique! I hadn’t even factored in these aps and the ways that they’re assisting in easing the tensions around copyright laws. Genius!
Comments on Luke Fenechi’s post ‘I said, everybody say love.’
@Jodie Shelley
I love my country and people for their acceptance, I know we still face the hurdle of legalising all marriages but it’s so hard to even comprehend what others are going through, and even when homosexuality is not punishable by law the way it is condemned in some communities is horrifying. Great post
@Freya Nicholas
Even if it wasn’t as big an impact as that, just knowing that there’s people out there like you would be a huge comfort. I think even just the networking side of it in places like Russia would have such a positive effect on mental health.
@Max Buntine
Great piece Luke! Love that you discussed LGBT issues in relation to glocality. For me glocality played a huge role in the development of my sexuality. (I discussed growing up in a hetero-normative environment in my week four mini essay). Thanks for the read.
@Phoebe Leonard
Really beautiful… you should be extremely proud of yourself
