The paper "Problems Faced in Recruitment and Selection" is a wonderful example of an assignment on human resources. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the reasons for which the recruitment and selection process has faced a considerable number of hiccups in Zuko Technologies, a Chinese Information Technology (IT) based organization. The overall goal of the study is to find suitable solutions to the problems faced in recruitment and selection by Zuko. The objective of the company is to formulate a research topic and present a research proposal so that the issues faced can be solved effectively by the HR managers of the company.

The issues in the topic will be solved through qualitative research techniques. Focused group interviews will also be carried on through the presentation of questionnaires to the employees working within Zuko. Then the answers will be reviewed and analyzed properly to formulate plans that can improve the position of the company. The research will be carried on in an orderly manner by the HR managers to create a fresh new Human Resource policy for recruitment and selection of candidates. After framing the policies it might be utilized by the company in its best interest to enhance productivity and profitability.

Assignment 1 Recruitment and Selection Recruitment is a process where an employer searches for the right candidates and stimulates them to apply for jobs (Armstrong & Baron, 2000). It is an activity that links job seekers and employers. Recruitment is the prime driver for growth. If a business needs growth then recruitment can be helpful to get the right people at the right time and at the right place (Mello, 2014). Recruitment takes place majorly when an organization diversifies, grows, and takes over any other unit (Dowling, Festing & Engle, 2008).

The function comes to a standstill when organizations cease to exist. Selection is an organizational activity where screening of a large pool of candidates is carried on for the purpose of selecting the most appropriate one to fill in the vacant posts within an organization. Selection involves several steps in the where screening is carried out for choosing suitable ones for the vacant posts (Xie, Zhu & Warner, 2013). The article highlights the problems faced by Zuko Technologies in the recruitment and selection of candidates.
