Indeed, GLOBE study premises revolve around investigating about the norms, values, and beliefs of people from different cultures (Hoppe, 2007). The study focuses on cultural aspects and cultural intelligence that led to the establishment of nine cultural dimensions that facilitate the identification of the similarities and differences in norms, values, beliefs, and cultural activities among different groups (Hoppe, 2007).

The GLOBE study is significant in the development of multicultural studies since it relies on support from cultural scholars like Hofstede, Schwartz, and Smith. We can develop cultural intelligence by being curious about different cultures. Devising learning strategies and finding entry points into new cultures develops cultural intelligence (Rasmussen, 2014). Developing awareness about issues relating to other cultures also develops cultural intelligence. Embracing cultural diversity and accepting people from different cultures develops cultural intelligence (Rasmussen, 2014).

Developing awareness of my bias toward other cultures helps me to avoid cultural ignorance. Believing in one’s ability to adapt to culture helps in understanding different cultures which defines cultural intelligence (Rasmussen, 2014). Cultural intelligence relates to emotional intelligence in that emotional intelligence is one of the components of cultural intelligence (Earley & Mosakowski, 2004).
