Palestinian Israeli Conflict The conflict between Israeli citizens and the nationals of Palestinians back to the nineteenth century. Various perspectives seek to justify the reasons and the party that bears the responsibility for the conflict. Several external parties such as the United States of America and the United nations have indulged in the conflict in an attempt to find a solution to the conflict. All the solutions, however, have either increased the conflict or caused a temporary cease of the direct confrontations between the two groups. The conflict has also spilled over to the Arabs, who have had to take sides in the conflict. The common thing in both perspectives of the Israeli and Palestinian conflict is that the main reason is on the issue of land and there are serious consequences that accompany the conflict. There has been loss of land, loss of lives and immigration of the people from their ancestral lands in order to obtain safety in other countries. The research on international relations relate to the Palestinian Israeli conflict. The research paper examines the conflict from a Palestinian perspective. The research will conduct an analysis of the cause of the conflict, which constitute the factors that led to the start of the fight. The history of the conflict helps in understanding the causes, effects, interventions, and future of the conflict. The two parties could just have easily settled their conflicts amicably, but this has not been the case. Both territories have seen the need for continuing to fight a war that started way before they existed. The help from outside parties in trying to arbitrate the conflict have further pushed the countries into further and more serious measures of dealing with the conflict. There are several impacts that have resulted from the conflict. Israel, for example, has become a highly militarized country, with every gender from the teenage years becoming full soldiers. It is a rite of passage for the children to become soldiers when they reach a certain age. For the Palestinians, the oppression they have suffered at the hands of the Israelis has made them have a lot of hate and distrust for the Israelites. The Palestinians also do not have trust in the external parties who have had a history of favoring the Israelites over them when it came to the conflict. The Palestinians further blame outside forces for heavily contributing to the fight. From the Palestinian perspective, the Palestinians are the wronged party, and they would not concede to the Israelites. They want revenge and the return of their land. The research analyzes the book of Ben Gurion- the scandal that details the evils of the conflict between the Israelites and the Palestinians. The conflict between the Jews of Israel and the Arabs of Palestine started in the 19th century after the rise of the Zionist national movement. The Zionist movement was a group comprising of Jews who had the urge of searching for a land that was their promised land, the Land of Israel. The Zionists received backing from the British troops as they started their immigration from the Middle East and Europe (Smith 374). The Zionists migrated to Palestine where the Arabs resided. The land in Palestine sought to be a haven to all Jews across the globe where the Jews would have a right to self-determination. The Palestinians started to feel the threat of their presence in their land especially because the Jews managed to acquire a lot of land previously owned by the Palestinians. Haj Mohammed Amin became the leader of Palestinian Arab Movement in 1920 where he incited religious riots against the Jews. In retaliation, the Jews founded a defense force of the Haganah. In the year 1947, the United Nations intervened in the conflict between the two groups and favored the Jews from the Zionist group because they had the backing of the British (Giladi 17-21). The United Nations did not adhere to the principle of self-determination, but decided to divide the land of the Palestine between the Jews and the Arabs. Under the pressure of the Zionist group, the United Nations gave 55% of the Palestinian land to the Jews (Peters 483). The Arabs in Palestine, who were the original owners of the Palestinian land before the invasion by the Zionist Jews group perceived this as an unfair division. The Zionists invaded the land and sought to get more than half of the total land in Palestine. The Zionists, however, represented the minority group, comprising of only 30% of the total population in Palestine. Further, the Zionist Jews legally owned only 7% of the land in Palestine, yet they managed to get the most share of land after the division. The division made the Arabs very bitter and their hatred for the Jews grew. In their conflicts, the Jews who made up the Israeli state always outnumbered the Palestinian parties, and they fought the battles in what was the land of the Palestine. The Jews committed several massacres of the population of Arabs in Palestine. In one such massacre, over 100 men, children and women of the Deir Yassin region lost their lives (Peters 860). The prime minister of Israel who was the leader of the Jewish terrorist group commended the massacre terming it as splendid. The Jews won about 78% of Palestinian land. By the year 1968, Israel managed to conquer the rest of the 26% of the Arab land. Due to the conquering of their lands, majority of the population of Palestine feel trapped inside Israel. The story Ben-Gurion" Scandals talks about how Haganah & Mossad eliminated the Jews and gave a horrific detail of the crimes committed against the Palestinian Arabs at the hands of the Zionist Jews. In order to write the book, Gilan had to make sure he had renounced his citizenship as an Israelite and settle in a foreign country, the US (Giladi 8). Through the explosive nature of the book, Gilan details on how the Israelites did not hesitate in committing massacres against the Palestinians. The authorities in Israel condoned and supported the grenades in the synagogues of Baghdad and against their fellow Jews with an intention of pushing the Jews into Israel. In their newly acquired lands, the Zionists required people to farm for them (Kimmerling 383). They went into all measures to import raw labor from other Jews and some Arabs. The Zionists knew that in order to create their promised land of Israel, they had to import Jews and disperse the Palestinians into the neighboring states that had an Islamic Foundation. They poisoned water in order to force the migration of the Jews into Palestine, even dressing their men as Arabs when they poisoned the water. The Zionist movement had a well-crafted plan that had the backing of the British in carrying out their plans. Every attempt to uncover the plots and sins of the Israeli Mossad when they bombed several countries including Iraq and the United States would magically disappear. Such is the wide grasp and power of the Israelite Mossad (Kimmerling 166). The Palestinians did not stand a chance against the cruel Zionists. The Arabs, on several occasions attempted at creating peace with the Jews from the Zionist group. The Zionists often and always rejected the peace because they had a greater agenda to achieve. They had to make sure that they create more land for the Jews they expected would come into the Palestinian land. The Zionist Jews had to buy time in order to confiscate more land that belonged to the Arabs. the massacres of the Arabs was just another tactic of alienating the Arabs and making them few the Zionists so that it would be easier for the Jews to conquer their lands.in the book, Gilan displays a conversation with Ben Gurion, where Giladi questions why Israel has never had a constitution. Ben answered that a constitution requires the applicability of law within specific borders and Israel did not have borders and did not want any (Peters 652). Their border was where the Israeli army decided to reach. In conclusion, Gilan concludes that the world finds it easy to accept a truth rather than a complex lie. While the Israelites ensure that they portray a peaceful nature and present itself to the world as a victim, the Israel authority is indeed, the perpetrator in the conflict between them and the Palestinians. The Arabs in Palestine ended up as being the oppressed party in the confiscation of their lands. Israel did not have satisfaction with obtaining 55% of the Arab land in Palestine. They had to ensure they conquered more land, but the West bank region and the Gaza strip were the last pieces of land to fall under the power of the Israelites. The Palestinians had to live under the control and mercy of the Israelites (Smith 286). Most of the Arabs living in the conquered lands subjected to forced imprisonment and without the right to trials. The Jews killed the Palestinians willingly. Physical abuse on the imprisoned and several levels of torture became a norm in the prisons of Israel on the Arabs. The Jews viewed their acts as cleansing their holy promised land off the non-Jews. Further, all the Palestinian borders are under the control of the Israeli mossad who are ruthless soldiers trained since they were children. There have been reports of cases of Arabs who have been strip searched just because of their originality. It is an inhumane and discriminatory act against the Palestinians. The women do not have the capacity of visiting hospitals because they are not Jews. Many of them end up losing their children and even dying due to complications. There are problems with food and medicine and other necessities penetrating Gaza (Smith 274). The area of Gaza strip where Palestinians reside is under the control of the Israeli forces that ration every necessity entering the territory. Additionally, the forces from the Israeli Mossad regularly invade Gaza, kidnap, rape, and kill the inhabitants freely and to assert their power over the Palestinians. There are two types of solutions suggested for the two countries in conflict in a long time. The one state solution is a possible remedy for the conflict. Under this solution, there is a proposition for the merging of Israeli and the Palestinian countries into one state with either name. The two states would have one government and economic system. However, the Israelites would feel they are losing their Jewish nature and state because of the high population of the Arabs. The Arabs do not trust the Jews. Therefore, the two-state solution would be more recommendable. The two states consist of the two parties, the Arabs and the Jews having two different and separate states and separate lands. Their system of government would be different in a way each authority controlled its own territory (Peters 756). The solution would possibly end the Israel Palestinian conflict. However, there have been problems in applying the two state solutions because it calls upon the two countries to divide land between them. The Palestinians feel they should have most of their land back because they were the original owners. The Israelites cling to the holy land of the Jews. As a way of ensuring they maintain their control over the Palestinians, the Israelites have refused to relinquish control over West bank region. The conflict between Israelites and Palestinians date back to the 19th century. The research analyzes the conflict from the perspective of the Palestine. The Zionist movement made up of the Jews migrated from Europe in search of a holy land as promised to their ancestors. They arrived in Palestine and they settled there, ensuring they conquered as much land as they could. However, conflicts arose especially when the Arabs in Palestine realized that the Jews continued to flood into their areas and conquer their lands. As revealed by Gilan in the book ‘Ben Gulion scandal’, the Zionist movement made up of the Jews had planned the invasion into the land and they ensured that they imported Jews to provide cheap labor for them. Further, the book revealed that the Arabs had attempted at having peace with the Jews to no avail. Palestine supports the perspective of establishing two states to solve the conflict.
