After four years, he wrote “The Grapes of Wrath”. The novel dealt with issues of Agriculture and the rising number of migrant workers in California. This novel made him win the 1962 Nobel Prize. “The Grapes of Wrath” resulted to the development of controversial issues in connection with the immigrants (Coers 43).
