Ancient architecture The architectural design of the temples and the palaces enhances the ity of the kings owing to their uniqueness. They appear to be different from other buildings in the cities where they were located which made the kings to feel privileged and highly ranked compared to other members of the society. The structures appear to have been isolated from other buildings which made the kings feel like they are in a different form of society thus making them to feel greatly honoured.

The temples were constructed by well trained royal workers who were able to promote the author of the kings due to the fact that they were directly in touch with them. The kings who constructed the buildings believed that they needed to come up with structures that will outdo those of other kingdoms in terms of their uniqueness and size. They invested heavily in their construction and having to demand a lot of sacrifice from their subjects during the construction process. This is because they could easily spot their enemies when they are approaching from a distance rather than have them hide in the midst of the ordinary people. The kings were able to keep their private lives and secrets away from the ordinary people thus continuing to advance in their leadership. The kings wanted to create a clear cut division between their high social status and that of the other ordinary people in the society which was achieved by separating themselves from them.
