Despite the fact that the threat of terrorism is rising from the extremist views of the minority militant Islamic groups, most especially from the Middle East, South Asia and some parts of Africa, their threat is real, and it has hit the whole world. The most worrying aspect of Islamic terrorist threats is that they are not simply targeted to a given country, society or group, but to multiple targets, which are perceived to have a connection with their perceived enemy. The actions of these extremist Islamic militants have been pitched on the Muslim religion, with such terrorist groups claiming to be fighting a holy war against the societies that have not adhered to the requirements of their religion, which they hold as true and supreme.
