Our idea today about pirates actually came from that book. While there is another Volume (Two), it is like a prequel to the Volume one and predates it. But I like the second volume more.
The book tells the account of piracy that involves, robbery and murder through the character of Captain Charles Johnson, which many experts agreed is the pen name of Daniel Defoe in the book. This is an exciting read because it justifies the exploits and adventure of pirates which many of us, including I, played and even believed during our childhood.
