Is the USA trying to seek control on China? This paper shall focus on the political tussle between the two nations of China and the USA. The questionwhich needs to be discussed here is whether the USA trying to control China in their own way. Yes, the USA is trying to seek control on China for the following reasons: Pros: 1. That China has been acting as a super power threat to the USA. 2. That China has been trying to influence manufacturing process over the USA 3. That China has been trying to strengthen their military over the USA 4. That USA sees China as an economic threat 5. That USA is trying to immobilize China in order to contain them No, the USA us not trying to seek control on China for the following reasons: Cons: 1. That the present economic condition of the USA doesn’t allow them freedom to exercise control 2. That the USA is under immense pressure from the political world to contain their aggressive expansion on other countries 3. That the USA is not going for another military expansion 4. That the USA is another immense pressure from the United Nations 5. That the USA does not seem to be too confident to have another war at their hands Starting with the pros, it seems inevitable that the USA has been trying to contain China into making the country do what they want to be done. China is one of the fastest growing economies in the world; in fact at the current GDP prices it is the fastest growing economy in the world. India is lagging behind China and they have an immense manufacturing force behind them. As an economy, there is no doubt that China will overtake USA by 2050, and due to such reasons it is quite imperative that the USA has been aiming to curb the manufacturing processes in China. Barack Obama has recently suggested that they are trying their best to pull out their manufacturing process from China in an attempt to dent their economy. Moving on, in the second statement made in this research paper, it is a known fact that china has been trying to influence markets outside Asia to come and invest in their country. USA has been trying to contain the influx of FDI from their country towards China in order to manage the currency of China. The USA has been trying its best to improve military ties with other countries and to create a strong base in Asia in order to contain the might of the ever-growing China. “US interest in Asia revolves around containing China and the growth of the SCO, and securing under its economic sphere of influence, the most populous region in the world. Asia is home to 4.14 billion people or 59 percent of the world’s population.” USA has been putting its efforts to further exercise control on the military might of the Chinese. The important factor here to note that is the fact that USA wants to build a strong far east base to counter any future attacks by China over the USA, since the Chinese missiles are capable of destroying the majority of the major cities of the USA. Moving onto the fourth point, the USA is seeking China as a major economic threat, which plans to control and maximize the potential available to them in order to take away all the major jobs from the citizens of the USA. The economy of the USA is at a current downfall, while the economy of China is on the rising. One of the primary reasons behind this is the fact that China is deploying majority of its jobs into fields, which are hurting the European, and the American consortium. Moving onto the next important aspect of the attempts made by the USA to curb the growth of China has been the attempts to immobilize the workers of China settled in the USA who are continuously sending in Foreign Direct Investment in their home country of China as a mark of improving the economy of China. It is imperative to understand that Chinese settled in abroad have the highest grossing number of FDI influx to their home country. USA’s retaliation to the same has been its attempts to devalue the currency of China, however, this has been happening at a very subtle pace. This part of the essay will study the cons of the aspect of whether USA is trying to contain the momentum built up by China. Present Economic conditions do not allow: The current economic slowdown of USA due to the recession has ben a major dampener in their economy. USA has been struggling off late to get their economic act together. Due to the recession USA has recently started to pull out its troops from Asia as a measure to maintain a steady run of income for its people. The unemployment rates are very high and people are losing jobs more frequently than ever before. In this current economic meltdown, it is against the interest of the United States to invest in a military or an economic assault on China. The funds are not appropriate and it seems futile that USA should try to contain a fast economy like China. Pressure from United Nations: The United Nations doesn’t want a repeat of what happened in Afghanist and and Iraq with the current consequences facing the world. Current world income is at an all time low and it is imperative to contain the outflow, for which USA is the most responsible. By spending most of their wealth on containing China, USA would be left with nothing to spare for its people. “The US wants to build a healthy, transparent and sustainable relationship with China, and this is one of the main reasons for rebalancing the defense posture in the Asia Pacific region, a top Pentagon official said.” It is very well understood in the international community that as of now USA is trying to dislodge its attempts to seek a curfew on the growth of China. No further military expansion: At current stage, the ambition to build a military base near China in order to contain any future Chinese intervention would prove critical to USA’s existing defense policy. The understanding principle of the defense policy has been the attempt to sabotage the Iranain and North Korean expansion into nuclear technology. Since USA does not see China as an immediate threat, it must be noted that they are not going to pursue any sort of defense building base action against China in the near future. The current threat emancipates from North Korea and Iran, and therefore the focus of USA should be in containing these two potentially dangerous nuclear threats. Asia Putting Pressure on USA: To say that USA can contain China is not easy. China is a force to be reckoned with in its own right. It would be foolhardy and stupid to imagine USA putting military pressure on the Chinese when the Chinese are themselves capable to apply retrospective pressure on the USA to contain their stabilization as a super power. In such circumstances, it is highly improbable to have a situation where the USA would be attempting to put its horses down the Chinese throat. No chance of another war: The USA is not under any circumstances economically capable of maintaining another war at its hands. And the war with China is not going to be a small war of any sorts. It could turn out to be the beginning of the world war 3, which would result in utter destruction and chaos for the people of this planet. Since USA is putting its resources under the hammer, it is imperative that they do not usher in a hardcore war with the China due to any of its calamity of sorts. To conclude, it is said that China is growing threat to the interest of the USA. It is quite difficult therefore for the USA to contain the momentum of China, and even if it tries to do it otherwise, there would be severe consequences. One should not go into the details of the way USA has been attempting to cast its fling over assessing great concerns over China.
