Mann`s book looks at the formation of America in terms of economics of production (Mann 50). In fact, he uses candied fruits, gardens and nuts as essential aspects in his book, to show the effect of the arrival of Columbus. Mann says that the arrival of Columbus came with the introduction of new plants, germs, animals and people from other continents. This brought about mass population and economic gains because of labor availability and ways of production. He clearly captures the costs and benefits of globalization (Mann 56).
Titu Cusi`s book presents the vision of the vanquished, which brings up the fall of the INCA state. The book provides a historical narrative of the native Andeans in the Spanish colonial period. It traces the history of INCAs, the American people of Peru before Spaniards discovered America and before the arrival of Columbus (Yupangui and Julien 87).
