Task How History Affects the Future What happened hundreds of generations ago have been passed in the succession of these generations to the close of time. Mistakes or wise decision made in the past will manipulate the current situation; many people are suffering due to the decisions that were made before with the generations that preceded them, while others are at peace and harmony as they endure their daily life because of the decisions made by their fore fathers was to favor them. In the history of the World War II, some nations still live with pride and victory that they attained during the confrontation while other nations view it as an awful memory to initiate or go to war with their challenger.

The peace experienced worldwide is as an outcome of the World War II. Were it not for the Japanese empire to inflame the Americas into battle through attacking the Pearl Harbor, were hundreds of Americans were caught flat foot and were left lying lifelessly at the Pearl Harbor, the importance of peace would not have been realized. Lives of millions of people, who were killed during the conflict, were exchanged with peaceful surrounding that we experience now. The fear of someone can make him do unjust actions that make a crowd of people suffer.

The Nazis could slaughter anyone who seemed to have leadership qualities as instructed by Hitler. The fear of being over thrown in his country made him to slaughter the Jews with the help of countries such as Poland, Russia, Greece, and other nations. Though Hitler killed exceptionally many Jews, he was eventually conquered, which ended the terror of the Jews. From history, we learn that self-defense or security is particularly beneficial; when the Americans were attacked at Pearl Harbor by the Japanese Empire even though they were caught unexpectedly but because they had the self-defense, they countered the Japanese and they came out to be the world super power.

Could have the Americans stayed back more deaths could have occurred. Since the Jews did not have self-security, they ended up being slaughtered in massive groups leading to reduction in their population. We get involved to realize our potential and utilize it, the Jews never got engaged to try to fight back to realize their potential for security or for self defense but rather stayed back as they watch as a huge number of them is being executed. The Americans never held their horses back when they where cowardly attacked, but instead, through having faith in their potential their army and the thirst to revenge for its people they retaliated to confront the public enemy.

Through war, it is easier to win the respect of the opponent and others who could be threatening our peace and gain respect. The conflict between the American and the Japanese was because of Japanese disrespect to have peace in the Pacific Ocean expanse. The Americans decided to go to war so that they can win the respect of the adversary forcefully and this kind of attack not to happen in the future. Through history, we are reminded of where we are from and where we are going, that is, a diplomatic and peaceful world.

It helps to formulate ideas that will have a positively affect both the people living in present and in generations to come, to avoid a situation were by we or the generations we precede suffer the consequences of our poor decision-making.
