The Government in its infinite commitment to public service makes sure that all the promulgated rules of the land and its execution under favorable circumstance are implemented by forming a monitoring body in the form of government agencies. The chain of command of a bureaucratic system comes from the highest level of its hierarchy, thus putting the sole decision to the one on top of the chain and defies miscommunication. Another characteristic of bureaucracy is that it works under specific goal bound by a clear job description under standard operating procedures.

A major federal bureaucracy benefit is essentially its capability of organizing and undertaking large tasks. Since is a hierarchical organization with a clear command chains, it is able to both mobilize and also coordinate the work of numerous people simultaneously. This ensures high quality work is done as the workers will be supervised keenly (Daniel, 2011). This study tackles about how bureaucracy affects and impacts ones life. Key words: bureaucracy, hierarchy, government, chain of command Bureaucracy The implementation of Bureaucracy dated centuries back in the American heritage has paved a long way.

And the effects of its implementation garnered different reactions and views from the public. Some deemed it appropriate and necessary and others just cannot meet with what they call unperceived blemish of the system that was supposed to be of help. What is bureaucracy? From a definition, bureaucracy is termed as the system of administration characterized by specialization of functions, adherence to fixed rules and a hierarchy of authority (Merriam-Webster, 2003). Max Weber, a German sociologist described the bureaucratic form as being the ideal way of organizing government agencies (Johnston, 2004).

A bureaucracy is a system of organization noted for size and complexity. Every level within a bureaucratic system exists to achieve some goal bound by specific rules, specific job descriptions and operates by standard operating procedures. Bureaucracies are found at the federal, state, county, and municipal levels of government, and even large private corporations may be bureaucratically organized. People who work for government agencies, from high-level managers and executives to clerical staff, are called bureaucrats (John Wiley & Sons, Inc, 2000).

The bureaucratic form and its use spread throughout both public and the private sectors. Even though Weber’s writings have been widely discredited, the bureaucratic form lives on (Johnston, 2004). Even though it has been getting words from critiques of the system, the government deemed its appropriate execution due to its efficacy. Bureaucratic Impact There are some points that bureaucracy benefits and somehow regulates or affect the life of a person on a more considerable point of view. When the national government establishes policies and creates programs, bureaucracy becomes necessary to see that those policies and programs become reality (Mott, 2008).

The list of significance would be its function that monitors the implementation of the laws that are deemed necessary and vital for the government and its constituents- thus is a collaborative purpose of every agency in giving quality public service. It is very important to check that laws are being implemented on proper grounds so that to take note that the general populace are so
