Cakes Health Effects on HumansIf one is highly committed to the intake of sugary foods, the same commitment should be prepared beforehand to spend money on hospital bills. It is astonishing how humans tend to turn a blind eye to what is known to be pretty pernicious to one’s health yet when the effects start manifesting, responsibility is avoided. Whereas humans are highly intelligent creatures, there tends to be a betrayal of this quality when decision pertaining to kinds of food consumed is being made.

This essay’s focus is on the health effects caused by excessive consumption of cakes by humans where the paper authoritatively asserts that excessive cake-consumption is a health behavior every health-conscious human has to forsake.Sugar is a substance easy to abuse but when one is aware of the health effects, the decision requires a re-thinking. Seslar (p.67) discovered that sugar presents a very tempting likelihood of abuse and it often leads to addiction. Sadly, as the abuse keeps taking place so does health deterioration.

Consequently, in the end, the person has too much sugar in the body hence leading to some health concerns.Apart from rendering one’s teeth less useful, cakes tend to have other preservatives that have been found to be a health risk to many. Howard and Wylie-Rosett (p.24) noted that due to lack of monitoring, many cakes are made with little regard of health thus posing a real health risk. Unfortunately, not many people take time investigate some of the purported ingredients. Even though many cakes are portrayed as ones reach with all the necessities the body requires, the opposite is the truth in many cases.

Sugar is a necessity to the body but moderation has to be practiced or else memory capability will decline significantly. It was noted that too much consumption of foods with excessive sugar could lead to decreased memory (Avena, Pedro and Bartley p.24). Normally, this occurs because many, if not all, of the cakes consumed are cooked containing significant amounts of sugar. Worse still, the consumers of these cakes take them in large quantities thus increasing the amount in the body. Whereas, this paper is not necessarily demonizing cakes, it is the manufacturers’ tendency to focus on money that make the situation worse.

On the other hand, the consumers escalate the situation by consuming without control.Even though health concerns have been raised about the cakes, it is imperative to state that wheat, an ingredient of cakes, plays an essential role in humans’ health. According to Avena et al. (p.25) minerals, vitamins and amino acids can be obtained from wheat-consumption. Notwithstanding this fact, the important part is to distinguish between the wheat itself and the other additives used in the cake making.

Again, one ought to remember even wheat itself is responsible some reactions including coeliac and some allergies (Howard & Wylie-Rosett p.25).In conclusion, the importance of sugar in the humans’ body cannot be ignored; the body needs it. Nonetheless, one can obtain it from other foods without necessarily putting the health into such a risk. The makers of these cakes have a role of ensuring that whatever ingredients listed are the true contents of the piece. However, since there is no guarantee of honesty on the part of the manufacturers, the right decision is to avoid cakes and seek the sugar from other uncompromised foods.

It is unfortunate that humans would work with such a dedication and unmatched tenacity to get money only to spend it in paying health bills. The sad fact would be that the money is spent on bills, which could only be described as unnecessary and avoidable.Works cited Avena, Nicole M., Pedro Rada, and Bartley G. Hoebel.
