Health Administration The thing that helped me to do my job when I was a new employee was the orientation that I received. This allowed me to see how things worked and what was expected of me. I was able to ask as many questions as I wanted to so that I could understand everything clearly. Having good communication with my superior removed any confusion and gave me the confidence to speak with them if I was unsure about anything. Once the initial orientation was out of the way, I worked for a trial period alongside a more experienced employee, and this helped me to be able to learn not only the work tasks, but also the organizational culture present in the workplace.
2. When planning end of life care, it is important to make sure that the patient feels as comfortable as possible. Because they are experiencing the last moments of their lives, they want to be able to go in peace rather than being stressed. Culture plays an important part in this because every person likes things to be done a certain way. Also, with many different cultures in our society now, it is crucial to adapt life care to suit the needs of the patient rather than the care facility. This may mean that employees need to take a cultural course in order to understand how to care for the needs of other cultures.
