The Illness - HIVIllness is a body condition that is experienced when body’s white blood cells are unable to fight disease making the immune system to become weak. Disease cause organisms multiply resulting to the body of the person to become unable to protect the body against foreign substances. The person feels weak although the symptoms are not observable. Illness is the mental notion that someone puts in his mind because it cannot be observed. When body cells in the body are assisted or boosted by antibodies or other medicines, the body regains the energy and a person recovers from the illness (Whaley, 2000, p. 14). HIV cannot be killed by antibodies.

Instead the virus infects and kills thousands of different types of body cells. The main target of HIV is immune cells which are mainly referred to as CD4 T-cells. The main function of CD4 which are part of white blood cells is to ensure that they coordinate the body’s immune systems response to any foreign substance in the body including even HIV. The reason HIV is not killed by the white blood cells is because it binds the receptors on CD4 cells and use the channel to enter the white blood cells that is mandated to fight diseases.

Once the virus is in the white blood cells, it is able to dominate it and kill it an aspect that weaken human immune system. This condition gives way for other diseases such as malaria and Tuberculosis to enter into the body (Whaley, 2000).A lentiviral vector is type of retrovirus that has the ability to infect both dividing and non dividing cells due to their reintegration complex. They can be able to penetrate an intact membrane of any nucleus of any of its target cell. This aspect poses a great threat to body cells as the virus has the ability to penetrate any part of the body.

The person cells are therefore easily killed in masses leaving the person vulnerable to even infections that could have been eradicated by white blood cells under normal conditions (Whaley, 2000).The reason behind an increase in potency of average marijuana joint is due to increasing demand of marijuana in the world. The highly affected people is the young generation especially those leaving in poor regions such as shanties. Growth of the plant has increased in countries such as Canada and Colombia in order to supply the increasing demand.

Poor regulation of the drug use is also another aspect that has seen increased marijuana joints. Drug use increases the prevalence of mental illness. Individuals who abuse drugs are at high risk of becoming mentally ill. Drugs such as marijuana cause depression, schizophrenia and psychiatric symptoms. These conditions are associated with causing mental illness. Study indicates that majority of individuals suffering from mental illness abused drugs in their lifetime. Pinel and Dix who were working in mental hospital published articles that linked emotions, social conditions of the people and insanity.

They therefore, came up with a more established method of treating mentally ill people through sympathy and kindness together with use of authority and control.
