The tutorial on menopause was published by The Patient Education Institute, Inc. According to the Director of the National Library of Medicine, Dr. Donald Lindberg, the information in their website comes from the National Institutes of Health and other trusted sources on over 800 diseases and conditions (MedlinePlus , par 3).

This makes the information contained in the site very credible. What is the date on the site? Is this an update or is it new? The date of the tutorial on menopause is April 17, 2008. This is an updated version already.Do you feel that the content of the website is accurate for its purpose? How did you determine your answer? Are the concepts correctly and clearly explained? Yes the concept was clearly and correctly explained. The illustrations helped a lot in explaining the topic. Are there any additional topics you think are necessary to include on the website? The tutorial could have added some points on the latest findings or breakthroughs regarding hormone replacement therapy. Are there any topics that you feel are unnecessary or need to be deleted? I think that all the topics that were discussed in the tutorial were relevant to the topic.

Are the illustrations and photographs appropriate and effective? Yes, the illustrations and photographs were very appropriate and effective.Explain one new idea you learned about women’s health from this site. One new idea learned from this site about women’s health, in particular about menopause is that the combination of estrogen and progestin increases the risk of heart disease, strokes, blood clots in the lungs and legs and breast cancer. Overall, I find the website very informative and useful.

The information conveyed are from knowledgeable sources; thus, can be trusted by its readers. The tutorial is pleasing to the eye and motivates the viewers to read on because the presentation is not boring.
