The national health insurance system is of an advantageous nature especially in the recent past where many citizens have been able to access affordable medical care through this insurance scheme. In the affordable act, almost 85% of the citizens who have been covered though, this insurance scheme has received various choices and stronger life assurance coverage in as far as the health system is concerned. The highly modified online health insurance programme currently provides millions of small businesses and families who do not have insurance with a better insurance deal (Goodmann & National centre for policy analysis 2004).

This insurance deal ensures these individuals are well catered for health wise in the best coverage deal subsidised by the federal government that fits their needs and budgets. The open enrolment in the online national health care system is a non-discriminative operation aiming at the improvement of the citizen’s health status without consideration of either class or status. One of the major disadvantages of the national insurance system is that the countries with this type of insurance scheme often attempt to use more finances frugally.

This may end up deterring the development of research and technology. The lagging behind of both research and technology will in turn hurt the capability and efficiency of the country’s medical treatment.. Many countries with the national health insurance scheme often chooses to wait and see how first a new technology is in order to consider the fiscal attachment qualities to these before investing in these technologies. This greatly affects the quality of healthcare provided through the national insurance because it revolves around the government’s finances, which is not enough for the acquisition of efficient but expensive medical equipment’s.
