The physical therapy has benefited the human kinds since long and the modern day initiatives like Vision 2020 are targeted to improve the PT field for the benefits of the masses. Physical therapy is the health care profession in which the patient is assisted to rehabilitate the limbs,bones and muscles of the body in orderto move them in the naturalflow which was affected after some kindof detrimental incident or any other multifarious kinds of hazards related to health. The main job of the physical rehabilitation therapists or physiotherapy assistants is to inculcatethe fact that the movement of the limbs and muscles of the human body must be made in a natural flow. The physical therapy profession has a long history and roots well embarked since the advent of health sciencesglobally. Physical therapy experts named Hippocrates Galenus are regarded as the pioneers of thisprofession which startedto treat the human body muscle with massage, natural movement, practice ofmaking the muscles stretchable andother related health practices. There was a great tip off in all the globe pertaining to the immense importance of this profession and the world saw that four nurses from the Great Britain started Chartered Society of Physiotherapy in 1894 which has been regarded as the stepping stone in the organizational evolution of the physical therapy experts around the world. Some of the primary and illustrative natures of the physical therapy institutions include the School of Physiotherapy at the University of Otago New Zealand founded in year 1913, and the US’s 1914 Reed College,which was established in Portland, Oregon, which was famous in producing the reconstruction aides( Network Synergy Group, 2013) . After the World War one, there were many schools that were created of Physical therapy amid the outbreak of bones and limbs problems because of the fact that people were unable to go to any place where they can get their bones and limbs treated. Another important physical therapy school was named as Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington, D.C. which was one of the best institutions for the , following the outbreak of Research catalyzed the physical therapy movement. There was also great PT related research work that started to publish globally and the first research paper was published in March of year 1921 in "The PT Review” outlet. Mary McMillan organized the Physical Therapy Association which is now called the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and regarded as the first professional association called the American Women's Physical Therapeutic Association. This gave birth to what is known today as the APTA (American Physical Therapy Association), and currently constitutes around 76,000 members throughout the United States relatedto thefield of Physical therapy and muscle rehabilitation assistance. Vision 2020 targets to make the physical therapy assistance autonomous and centralized based on the collaborative treatment of all the patients globally. The Task Force on Strategic Plan to Achieve Vision 2020 crafted various responsibilities for the physical therapists to achieve the goals of Vision 2020 which hare said to be as direct access, the degree of Doctor of Physical Therapy and Lifelong Education which will help the new therapists to elevate the proficiency in the field. Evidence based practice, practitioner of choice and professionalism are some of the hallmarks of the Vision 2020 (APTA, 2000). Vision 2020 was adapted by the PTA House of Delegates and it is regarded as one of the paramount steps in the physical therapy domain because it is a bold but tangible vision of where the profession of physical therapy sees itself in just 17 years. Many of the important health care issues will be solved because the evidence based practice and centralizations due to Vision 2020. As the vision statement argue, the By 2020, physical therapy will only be given and provided by the doctors and experts of the physical therapy domain and who are recognized by the official entities of the physical therapy organizations. The Vision 2020 also emphasizes the role of practitioners of choice to whom consumers have direct access for the diagnosis of, interventions for the depletion of the factors which must be eradicated like the physicalimpairments, lo level activity limitations, participation restrictions, all the environmental barriers related to health in the society. Physical therapy organizations and associations have a key role to play in resuming the nirvana of this health field and increasing the velocity of success. There have been a great number of establishment of the health care association related to physical therapy like American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT), American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPMR), American Academy of Physical Therapy (AAPT), American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), American Physical Therapy, Association (APTA) Student Assembly and American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT). It is immensely important that the physical therapists must be updated and be a part of the and member to support professional Associations because this will not only give him the insight about the updates related to the specific health care field, it will also boost his confidence to come forward and work for society in a collective sense. Role of the professional organizations is of primary importance amid the centralization of the health sciences domain. The importance of learning the history of the profession of physical therapy is of immense importance because without the thorough knowledge and tracking of the timelines of the historical events in this field, we will not be able to grasp the intentions and best practices that are of importunate value in every domain of health sciences.
