It becomes a challenge on how individuals handle medical issues in reality. Despite social, economical, or political differences, an individual’s enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of health is a very crucial matter, which has to be taken into hand. In the United States for instance, the government, being the heart of the nation has a role to play in matters concerning public health (Hammaker and Tomlinson 736). Arguably, it is a stipulation for the government to show concern for its citizens by protecting the less fortunate and helpless who cannot cater for their medical expenses.

The notion that the government should provide health care for its citizens occurs because health care maintenance has become increasingly unaffordable for individuals. Lack of ample medical care can lead to a succession of chronic infirmity. This is mainly experienced in poor families where medication is too expensive. Notably, poverty, being such a complicated social incident has led to adverse impact to health management. In some cases, lethal or long-term diseases like cancer or AIDS have become very costly and difficult to manage.

In fighting for good health, an individual becomes bankrupt by sacrificing any existing fiscal sanctuary. Therefore, it is the role of the government to ensure every citizen gets health care services. A healthy individual reciprocates to a healthy nation. For instance, in the United States, health care provision has been put in the forefront in addressing the country’s economic development (Rooney and Perrin 47). It is clear that an ailing person is not competent enough to provide a substantial outcome.

The economic status of any country depends on the citizens. Their potential and commitment in their working areas will entirely either raise or lower the economic status of the country. Arguably, it is therefore necessary for the government to provide health care services, which will constitute to healthy individuals and thus a healthy economy. Apparently, in most cases, an individual is afraid of establishing a new business in fear of health insurance. Provision of health care will ultimately encourage entrepreneurship, which in essence is a pathway to job creation thus boosting the economy.

The government, through concerned ministry ensures improved medical services in governmental hospitals through health service provision. In most cases, many public hospitals tend to have poor approach to medical care (Rooney and Perrin 43). This leads to people opting to have better services at private hospitals, which is expensive to the less fortunate and to college school students. With inadequate health care services from the public hospitals, people suffer from diverse complications ranging from anxiety, stress, to infirmity.

These complications affect not only the concerned, but also families and the community at large. Therefore, it becomes a question at hand for the government to ensure it provides health care services to every individual irrespective of financial status, age, race, and ethnic group (Aaron et. al 35). On the other hand, individuals opposed to governments’ health care provision argue that the exercise leads to ‘moral hazard’. This is because individuals take risk with their health due to guaranteed health care.
