All these attributes accumulated are vital for being a successful pharmacy technician. The world of the healthcare industry is a unique opportunity to express the critical skills that are applied during the crucial the early stages of a development of an individual. Being a successful pharmacy technician requires numerous key aspects in order to excel at this particular position (Pharmacy What It Is and How It Works, 2007). Undeniably, a professional Pharmacy Technician and Aide is highly needed to the growth and integrity of any Health Center since pharmaceutical costs, representing 4% to 7% of the yearly operating expenses for most hospitals (Best Possible Medication History In The Emergency Department, 2010, p.1). Hence, this becomes a focal point for Hospital administrators.

Undoubtedly, any individual pursuing any field of study must possess passion for it. In essence, this passion has to extend beyond the materialistic incentives that the position offers. Pharmacy technicians are great facilitators as they assist their fellow pharmacists in helping patients alleviate their pain through proper medications. In addition, good pharmacy technicians pay great attention to detail. . r their accuracy, attention to detail without sacrificing the productivity levels at a dynamic work place (Ethical Principles for Pharmacy Technicians, 2010, p.1-7) . Having a good idea of medical terminology and understanding written sentences and paragraphs written in complicated language must be acknowledge by a good pharmacist technician.

Lastly, this position requires an individual to deliver on time when counted upon. Thus, having a solid work ethic along with a good track record dramatically facilitates the cause. Maintaining integrity at work place to ensure the privacy of patients and customers is an absolute must for pharmacy technicians(Ethical Principles for Pharmacy Technicians, 2010, p.1-7). All information about patients should be kept confidential due to the new laws such as HIPAA and ACA (Ethical Principles for Pharmacy Technicians, 2010, p.1-7). Furthermore, pharmacy technicians should strive to eliminate any risk associated with sharing private information.

A successful pharmacy technician must portray excellent leadership skills which can be portrayed in numerous ways. One way to earn good reputation as a leader is to collaborate with other techs in the pharmacy. Establishing good relations with other colleagues ensure that the pharmacy technician is social, friendly and has good communication skills (Impact Of A hospital Pharmacy Technicians Facilitated Medication Delivery system, 2010). Possessing strong interpersonal relations can be one of the key elements towards being a good pharmacist.

Furthermore, a good pharmacy technician should master the art of customer service. Without a doubt, every individual in the healthcare industry thrives upon building and maintaining excellent customer service(Evolving Pharmacy practice in the 21st Century.
