Understanding human sexuality Understanding Human Sexuality Chapter What is human sexuality? I was not surprised to read the correct answers to the first questions because I have read and understand all the information assigned in the previous chapter, and I had available resources to find their meanings.Human beings are more than complicated that animals when it comes to sexual relations. Studies on human sexuality argue that human sexual relations are different from that of other animals because they are governed by interplay of complex factors such as gender, social and psychology, religion, culture, age, and life stage among others rather than “force” to reproduce.

However, teaching children about human sexuality can often be difficult for parents. Regarding this problem, various scholars such as Hyde and DeLamater (2000) have provided strategies that are appropriate to teach children about sexual relations. Parents are the best people to teach their children and parents should first provide their value for sex before starting the lesson about sexual relations.Chapter 2: Research MethodYes, I have participated in an online survey. As a result of lack of proper information, I ended up getting wrong information about menstruation. An example of the wrong information was that it is not possible to get pregnant when menstruating.

I believe that the media have failed portraying the realistic role of teens and adolescent because it has not developed programs aimed at teaching them how to be responsible. Gender expectations affect me I such a way that if I am a male, there are certain traits or qualities that are required of me. For example, as a male I am supposed to be aggressive in everything that I am handling. As a male, I do not feel to be passive because of my gender expectations. Studies have shown male to be more aggressive, which means men are expected to aggressive.
