Regarding this problem, various scholars such as Hyde and DeLamater (2000) have provided strategies that are appropriate to teach children about sexual relations. Parents are the best people to teach their children and parents should first provide their value for sex before starting the lesson about sexual relations.
Yes, I have participated in an online survey. Some of the factors that influenced me participating in the analysis are to fulfill a social obligation and having an interest in the topic. In other words, I wanted to understand better the topic of human sexuality.
The most surprising results found in Statistic Canada site is the decreasing number of young teens using condoms as their age increases. Research shows that there is a condom use decreased with age. The statistics are surprising because older teens, which are more informed about sexually transmitted diseases and how they can be transmitted, are the one not willing to use condoms.
Self-esteem has several impacts sexual choices because it determines the choice of the having or not having sex. Additionally, self-esteem also affects the level of sexual confidence in the person. For example, low self-esteem means lack of sexual confidences, which goes further to make a person unable to choose a person.
While growing up, the topics related to menstruation were less common. As a result of lack of proper information, I ended up getting wrong information about menstruation. An example of the wrong information was that it is not possible to get pregnant when menstruating. However, Dr. Michele Hakakha, a renowned obstetrician, and gynecologist has insisted it is possible.
