On television, the high standard and regard for women can be seen in the character of Kate Becket on the detective show Castle aired over ABC. She represents her gender and white race in a manner that commands the respect of the men and others around her. Unlike the Madonna and Lady Gaga's out there who cheapen themselves to stay ahead of the game, Beckett is the epitome of the female sex as she manages to come across as sexy without having to reveal too much flesh but also being an independent-minded woman who can take care of herself if no man is there for her because she is a self-respecting police officer who uses logic instead of her heart to get her ahead in the game of life.
