This doesn't mean vaginal sex is free from diseases. However, a condom provides safety to a great extent, and to be extra protected, two condoms at one time would surely keep one tension-free. Another way is by the use of contraceptive pills and in cases of emergency, when one has forgotten to take precaution, an emergency pill can be taken. However, contraceptives and emergency pills can only protect against pregnancy and not against STD's.STDs can be transmitted by any of the three ways, oral, anal, or vaginal sex.

Hence it is extremely vital to use a condom. Most of the Sexually transmitted diseases are noncurable and some of them can have dangerous consequences on health. The worst part about having being affected by any kind of STD is that the person is not even aware that he is suffering or has been infected with a disease. This is because sexually transmitted diseases barely have any symptoms that show.Another problem with unsafe sex is that many women use contraceptive pills or birth control pills in the fear of getting pregnant.

This also has an effect on the health of the female taking the pills. Some of the common problems include back pain or pain in the lower abdomen. It's very rare, but contraceptives have a small percent of contribution to heart attacks. However, strokes and migraines could occur in many of the females who regularly use contraceptives. Birth control pills also increase the risk of having blood clots, especially in those women who suffer from a clotting disorder. Since birth control pills have so many dangers, it's always better to avoid them and this can only be possible when people indulge in safe sex.

It has often been found that some of the major reasons why people indulge in unprotected sex include lack of knowledge about sexually transmitted diseases, being under the influence of alcohol and drugs, incomplete or wrong knowledge about safe sex practices, promiscuity and following the misconception that protected sex or use of condoms reduces the feeling of pleasure as compared to unprotected sex. Therefore, it is very important to promote safe sex campaigns, conduct sex education classes and educate the masses about the dangers of unprotected sex and the various diseases that can be caused by it, which can also lead to death.

In order to avoid the several problems caused by unprotected sex, everyone should follow the notion "To Be Safe and Play Healthy"
