A lot of scientific ideas have gone through tests and have shown their reliability. These have been the closest to facts as any idea could be yet some are just hunches that are pending testing that will finally prove their probability. Yet there also exists the in betweens at every level. Science has the ability of being done poorly and being misused. There exist all forms of quackery, wrong advertisements, and forms of pseudoscience that have unconfirmed information being used as facts to prove or disapprove a huge range of mysterious phenomenon. The process of science is social as it is done by people working together in collaboration. The procedure, outcomes and analysis must be shared among the scientific community, and the public in conferences and other review platforms. In such forums, fraud, errors and oversights get exposed and true findings can be affirmed and confirmed. ... Food chain is a representation of the energy transfers from one organism to another. It starts from a producer, usually plants, which are autotrophs that can harness light energy to form organic compounds. Plants are then used by primary consumers, or calves, for energy. These herbivores are then consumed by carnivores, such as humans. Upon death, these carnivores are decomposed by microorganisms into simpler compounds that can be utilized by the producers by nourishment. Geographers look at organisms in terms of how they are distributed on Earth. As such the Earth’s ecological system might be able to integrate with volcanic eruptions or the methane gas produced by cows; however, further integration of the ever-increasing levels of human CO2 emissions is likely well beyond the capabilities of the system as a whole. ...Earth Systems 2. Explain the difference between ground- level and stratospheric ozone; why has one a beneficial and the other a detrimental role in the atmosphere? In the early phase of the earth’s history, life could only survive in the oceans because the deadly ultraviolet rays of the sun precluded the growth of life on the earth’s surface.
