The paper “Foreign Direct Investment in Kazakhstan” is an outstanding example of a finance & accounting research paper. Kazakhstan is a developing country that gained independence in 1991. It has a population of 17.4 million and as of 2014; the GDP of the country was 264, 894 billion USD. The Country is the 9th largest in the world and it is also the number 1 producer of Uranium. Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is considered as one of the main sources of capital inflows in developing countries.

This plays an important role in terms of stimulating the growth and development of the economy. The United States of America is the leading source of Foreign Direct Investment. This is through the oil sector where the country is one of the main exporters of oil to the United States of America. In 2014, the Foreign Direct Investment of the country was 211.5 billion. The ease of doing business in the country is much higher as compared to its neighbors and hence the high FDI.The FDI of the country as well as its ease of doing business is much better as compared to Uzbekistan which is one of its neighbors.

In 2015, the country was ranked 77 in terms of ease of doing business which was much closer to Russia is also one of its neighbors. Russia was ranked 62. The investment climate in the country has been improving gradually. This can be attributed to the removal of barriers that initially discouraged the investors. Some of the factors that have promoted the increase in FDI include large market size, economic stability, openness to trade, good infrastructure, and reliability. The statistics indicate that the mining industry leads in terms of the generation of FDI.

More investors from western countries are expected in Kazakhstan by 2020. The economy of the country is also experiencing a lot of growth as a result of FDI.Chapter 1: IntroductionThe Republic of Kazakhstan is located in the Asian continent neighboring Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, China, and Turkmenistan. It has a population of 17.4 million and the GDP of the country in 2014 was $ 264,894 billion. The country is the 9th largest in the world with an area of 2,724,900 square kilometers. Kazakhstan is mineral-rich and is the leading producer of uranium in the world.
