The paper "Energy Production during Shuttle Walking Test" is a good example of a finance and accounting article. The shuttle walking test provided a purposeful measurement of the disabilities of the patients and it provided the comparison performance on them. It was a field walking test that constituted a standard increment that motivated the symptom which was limited and maximal in the performance.

  • Purpose:

The main goal of the experiment was to develop an average and outwardly paced field test with the progressive structure and assess the functional capacity in patients with chronic airways obstruction.

  • Method:

The 8 participants from John Club Phase IV cardiac treatment class, Sydney, took part in the learn and all the participants were referred to as ‘clinically stable’. This data was collected within-subjects and then continual measures were designed, with randomized counterbalancing between the two test protocols where the participants visited the hospital on two different occasions, separated by at least 48 hours. On every visit, they performed one of the two walking tests – either MSWT or a Shortened version of MSWT.

  • Results

Results were that the hypothesis that shorted version MSWT VO2 < regular MSWT VO2 is true among male participants but false among the female participants, For most participants, the regular mean VCO2 is higher than the shorter version mean VCO2, hypothesis results indicate that that shorted version MSWT VCO2 < regular MSWT VCO2 and Shorter version MSWT O2exp < regular O2exp. Also, Shorter version MSWT CO2exp > regular CO2exp, Shorted version MSWT VE/VO2 < regular VE/VO2, Shorted version MSWT VE/VCO2 = regular VE/VCO2, Shorter version MSWT VO2/Kg =regular VO2/Kg and Shorter version MSWT HR > regular HR.

  • Discussion

The results show that there is a difference in the values measured when comparing the shorter version and the regular version data. Results also show that there is a difference in these values with reference to gender, diagnosis and type of medication.

  • Conclusion:

From the study, it is evident that shorted version MSWT VO2 < regular MSWT VO2 is true among male participants but false among the female participants, also Shorter version MSWT O2exp mean < regular O2exp mean and Shorter version MSWT HR > regular HR.
