In 1905 Automobile Association (AA) was founded to safeguard the welfare of pioneer motorists against the chauvinism generated by the new entrants in the motor car industry.

As cars increased in day-to-day life especially for commercial and social life, the Automobile Association membership grew as well as their services.

Today the AA is well known as a quick response car rescue for members in case of mechanical breakdowns or any problems related to cars.

The motor industry has grown tremendously with the US dominating the industry from 1910 to 1965. Despite the United States losing its grip on car production, it still leads the world production followed closely by Japan.
