As such an accountant is a great artist, who possesses the vision of beauty and before taking the decision he will analyze every aspect to provide the perfect final product. Everything works as per a set order, the analytical skills of an accountant are tested at every stage and the organization to which he is part of, places great confidence on him and he is liable to create a fine-looking picture of the organization based on incontrovertible facts. I would like to be in such a responsible position handling Accounts and Finance in a top organization to start with and after gaining two-three years’ experience would like to establish my consultancy firm in an important commercial center. The subjects of Accounting and Finance match well and they are of enormous interest to me. The knowledge of one of them helps to develop the skill of the other. Studying these subjects has led me to greater understanding of various methods and concepts to visualize difficult business issues in a logical manner without getting confused about the final result. I have developed fairly good ideas about the merits of flexibility in dealings and also rigidity of the approach as per the demands of the situations. I have the ability to pick up skills and benefit from the latest research articles and analyze them independently to do my own study and research. I have thus always remained ahead of other students in the class to win the appreciation of the members of the faculty. I have been fortunate enough to get their attention and encouragement. Work Experience: A brief summary runs through thus: (1) I have been working with Green Lifestyles Network, Los Angeles, CA as Board Treasurer since January 2014. My main responsibility is to oversee the management and reporting of the organization’s finances, develop budget and compare revenues and expenses against budget and oversee the development of the organization’s financial policies. (2) New York City Mayor Candidate - Cecilia Berkowitz New York City, NY, as Summer Intern, Assistant of Candidate’s Treasurer, with the responsibility of Bank account maintenance, for the period June to August 2013. I have also conducted research on relevant topics and offered advice for candidate such as national organization for women, produced/ delivered comprehensive, usable campaign documents and collected signatures on the petition for mayor election. While discharging all these responsibilities, I have understood how important is the knowledge of accounting and finance and how these subjects have a dominant influence on them. I hope university will open the doors for me to view the wider horizons of the business world with ample choices and connections on completion of my course and the advance theory knowledge will stand me in good stead to face the challenges of my professional career.
