FSL’s core business operation is trading. It has been trading ever since it has started its business. It trades its business by importing goods ordered by its customers, especially Malaysians, who want products manufactured in China, Thailand, Vietnam, etc. Most FSL customers are importing their products from China and FSL has a very good network of contacts and connections among China’s best manufacturers and wholesalers. The company caters to both local and overseas business groups.

Overall, FSL can be classified as a “general trading” enterprise, meaning it trades a wide range of products according to the customers’ needs. The products or goods that are traded consist of such diverse items as: i. Raw materials including textiles, metals, plastic raisins, etcii. Semi-finished goods like electronic components, plastic components, car accessories, etciii. Finish goods covering such products as apparel, furnishers, Healthcare products, decorative components, etc.

FSL has been operating both locally and also in China and Thailand. It has two packing and distribution warehouses in China and one in Malaysia. In China, the warehouses are located in the Province of Guangzhou, and also in the Province of Yi Woo, Che Chiang, whereas in Malaysia, its main distribution center is in Balakong.2.0 Method of ResearchThe research on this company involved both primary and secondary methodologies. In the primary research, the qualitative method was employed making use of the interview and observation techniques, in which the key employees of the company participated.

The participants were fully apprised of the purpose and objectives of the studies and were fully made aware of the intended treatment and analysis of the data they will be giving (Gill and Johnson, 2002). As for the secondary data, most of the information was gathered from the organization’s annual return reports and internet-based research. Since the company is mainly involved in trading, much of its information was gathered through the relevant published books and library resources.
