Naked Maoists before a Naked Wall
... adults and one child stand naked, spread eagle against a white wall. No clothing, no painting on the wall, no furniture, and the room is as bare as the people in it. While we cannot know exactly what was going through the minds of the Kommune members posed in the picture, there are elements of it we can assume from the posture, stance, and boldness of their nakedness.
In the 1960s, a lot of tension, resistance, and protesting by peaceful ways, were everywhere in the world. Handing daisies to soldiers was a way of presenting them with something which reframed the way they viewed the world - by hopefully showing beauty in the world instead of hate, anger, and killing.
