With reference to the above statement, I think Socrates regards evils as the ability of people doing good. As such, individuals know what is good and bad in society. Thus, people will engage in doing the bad things for their self gain, yet they comprehend the dangers of such actions (Gulley, 1965). Nevertheless, because of their self-interest they ignore and go ahead in doing bad things in society.
