In the contemporary era, the ‘Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)’ accepted that global warming is a double-ended sword that occurs due to everyday lifestyle and evaluation of the technology or human civilization (Altuntas, 2014). Industrialization and transportation facilities are the potential sources of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, and chlorofluorocarbons, which create higher greenhouse effects on the environment (Climatehotmap.org, 2015). In this study, possible solutions to global warming will be highlighted.

Industrial greenhouse gas emission reduction proved to be one of the most potential solutions to global warming. Industries and transportation systems of modern civilization are the major sources of heat-trapping emissions in the atmosphere. These particles are creating higher potentials of global warming. The emission of greenhouse gases needs to be reduced in order to reduce the temperature of the earth. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is planning to introduce new and innovative technologies to develop realistic solutions (Union of Concerned Scientists, 2015a). Such technologies will be increasing the efficiency of using energy. Moreover, individuals or households are advised to reduce their ‘personal carbon emissions’ (Miller, 2008). For example, industrial zones of China reported with the highest greenhouse gas emissions. Moreover, society members are required to use fuel-efficient vehicles in order to reduce petroleum or other nonrenewable fuel emissions (Pingoud, Ekholm, and Savolainen, 2011).

It has been observed that ‘The Clean Air Act requires the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’ are concerned in reducing air pollution particles. They are also created certain environmental safeguarding acts which are reducing carbon emission from the various operational factors (Srinivas, Rao and Raju, 2010). ...Download file to see next pages Read More

The temperature changes vary from region to region around the earth. The fluctuations in the global temperatures occur naturally. However, has been it is realized that the average global temperatures are increasing at a higher rate. Simpson (2008) notes that for 10 years since 1990, the hottest years to be recorded occurred. Scientists predicted that the average temperatures to be experienced in the U.S. could increase by 3 to 9 degrees by the end of the century if global...

...Possible Solutions to Global Warming... Possible Solutions to Global Warming... Strategies and Solutions: Global Warming Global warming is a serious environmental problem that increases the temperature of the globe and hence results in severe negative effects on both plant and animal ecosystems. It results in ice melting at Poles and increases the sea level which may destabilize the marine organisms and cause inundation of islands. Green house gases and deforestation enhance the rate of global warming and hence efforts must be made to develop an integrated plan for sustainability which aims at controlling the global warming at large scale. It must focus on controlling the emission of green house gases, development of alternate fuels like bio...

Possible Solutions to Global Warming

The importance of a predictable and fair constant climate cannot be ignored as man depends on it for his survival. A predictable climate would ensure that humans can plan their activities depending on when they expect the climate to favor the said activities. Many human activities would cease to be productive should the climate deviate from its regular annual pattern. This is becoming the reality as the climate is constantly changing in most regions of the globe. Human activities over the past years have done the unthinkable. They have strained many natural resources and have also warmed the earth. Such human activities have strained the earth’s natural balance and sustenance of life forms. Climate change is described as the...
