The impact globalization has had on people lives in a specific country: better or worse? Globalization in its verbatim apprehends is the process of world wide, transformation of some things or phenomena into global ones. It can be depicted as a process by which the people of world are united into a single society. This procedure is a union of economic, technological, socio-cultural and political coercion. Globalization is very frequently used to ascribe to economic globalization that is abolition of segregation of national economies into the international economy through commerce, foreign direct investment, and flow of money in business, migration and the scatter of technology. The word “Globalization” has been used by economists since 1981. However, its idea did not be worthy of well-likeness until the later half of the 1980s and 1990’s. Globalization affected the whole world and nearly leaves same influences everywhere irrespective of any specified boundary (GPO, 2009). United States of America also affected a lot due to globalization. Now, either these affects are pleasant for United States and its people or pernicious, will be discussed briefly in the rest of paper. The expression “globalization,” like most terms of public discourse, has two meanings. Literal meaning and a technical sense used for doctrinal purpose. In its verbatim sense, “globalization” means international integration. In U.S the strongest supporters since its origins have worker movements and the left. Globalization changes not only the concepts of people but also their whole minds are changed. Like in every country, people of U.S know about the rights given to the people of their neighbor country, or what facilities the other people of the world are enjoyed. Similarly the labors or workers of an organization, knows the skills and knows the designs which are world widely accepted as a model. Therefore there is a sort of competition developed between the workers, management and so surely between the organizations and factories as a result (Ejournal, 2006). This is positive aspect of the globalization; it urges the inner sense of the humans, to be first in their respective profession. Foreign competition and the need to trade more effectively beyond or across the sea, have forced most industries and government to become increasingly culturally sensitive and globally supervised. Rapid technological changes have transmuted the time dimension of competition. Speed and quality in speaking the requirements of worldwide customers greatly impel who the next winning businesses are going to be. In an established country like U.S the man power of the Asians countries like Pakistan, India and Bangladesh is used. All this business is based up communication via satellites, VOIP phone or other communicative source. Due to low wages and greater men power provided by these Asians countries, there found dissatisfaction and agony among the residents of U.S. Residents Of U.S believe that they are being deprived from their right and as well as job opportunities and as well as a large investment and economic concerns are of great importance in this regard (Gross, 2008). This is somehow considered as negative aspect because in this case people from other countries snatch away the jobs from the local peoples. Globalization is good for American students. Students are basically a diamond, or a brick of today; which tomorrow has to be put into a necklace which is wear by the country, or has to be put into the pillar on which the castle of country is build. So therefore they have to pass through all these stages, so that they can tackle with any type of difficulties raise tomorrow. Globalization also lasts an everlasting impact on the life of a student. As students have now, not to waste their time to search for a specific topic in the books. This process demands time that first of all you have to gone to library to search the books for a specific topic. But know the students have to just sit in front of their personal computers, connect to the internet and put the key words of the topic in the search bar of one of the many search engines available on the internet. And with in no time your required topic is in front you (Ejournal, 2006). But in spite of this there are many disadvantages of the usage of internet. To put these difficulties on side it has to be compulsory, that like every organization or industry there must be management of culture within universities and colleges. So that students must be aware of their culture, tradition and values. But besides this another disadvantage is that due to globalization, students across the world coming to U.S for higher studies. These students demand less pays and facilities as compared to American students, therefore they gets job and on the other hand American students with renowned college’s degree in their hand, remains jobless (Ejournal, 2006). Globalization has affected the whole world in political, religious and management issues. In the era of globalization it becomes difficult for one country to stabilize its own culture. Because anyone sees on television, or heard on radio, or browsed on internet that what is now the hottest fashions, what is the rights of people in the world, what are the benefits possessed by the labors internationally. Even governments and industries have to put there horses on the right ways, as competitors to the world, otherwise even their own public and labors throw them away (Bivens, 2007). As when U.S army attacked on Iraq and Afghanistan then as a result their economy suffered a lot and till now these losses are not compensated and large number of protests are shown by people against the U.S government within a country. United State is acutely affected due to globalization, because immigrants from all over the world comes in U.S. According to the American’s people majority of the immigrants came in their country is not able to live with them, some of them are even their enemies and example given is the September 9/11 attacks on world trade centre and then on the building of white house. These all are because of globalization but besides this there are many renowned doctors and other people who are competent in their own field and earn fame for U.S is from other countries. But point is that as these people, who leave their countries have their relatives there. Now these people earn the money from the U.S and then send this money to their native countries for their dears. So indirectly they behave as a source of wealth for their native country. As in Mexico, tourism used to be the largest source of wealth for the nation, but in fresh years it has been excelled by money sent home from immigrants living in U.S. A large amount of these workers income is not spent in the United States, but in the Mexico, and this is really a negative aspect of globalization (Bivens, 2007). Another effect of globalization is that people wants to have, what they see or heard that the people of other country enjoys. So, as a result whole world is affected, every one knows his rights. With respect to globalization, it is very important to mention the U.S Multinational corporations that gained tremendous benefit from this windfall of opportunities. The growth rate of these companies is proven terrific and they enjoyed a sustainable growth over the years as a consequence of this prowess that is witnessed in the present time. These companies earn foreign reserves for U.S as; they expanding their interests in the weaker economies of Asia and Africa thereby depriving of the people of respective country to fully benefit from their natural resources and transferring capital to their own country. In last it can be concluded that in a broader spectrum globalization is good for the United States. But as picture has both positive and negative image, now it depends on the observer that from which angle he/she observes.
