Extract of sample "What if Global Warming Continues"

I rubbed my back and forehead to stop the sun from messing up with melanin. I could feel the ultraviolet rays that were penetrating my skin as it caused discomfort and unrest. It did not work better for me since the extreme temperatures were unstoppable.“Grandson, where are you heading to, and yet it is extremely hot” I could hear soft words of the democrats in my head tell me. I realized that they were perfect thoughts of my late grandmother who used to care about the effect of global warming.

The view screen of my shadow was evident that the sun was shining on top of my head. At the bottom of the shadow, I could see a short figure that was suffering the effects of extreme temperatures. Across the road, I saw moisture come out of the river as it formed patterns of precipitation. I could see the effects of an increase in global temperatures around sea levels. That is why there were patterns of precipitation that escaped into the atmosphere above the sea surrounding the road. Given that we were residing around the arctic, the levels of warming were very strong and could make someone melt like ice.

At that point, I understood why there were droughts, heatwaves, and heavy rainfall around our vicinity. In return, the effects hindered the growth of our human activities. This was evident through the threats exposed to the crop yields and habitat. That is why there were frequent threats to food security and inundation respectively.I thought of something that could convince my conscience, but nothing came into my mind. I tore my eyes away from the sky as I walked down the road and saw a billboard created by the government.

The writings on the board stated, “Mitigation by emission reduction, adaptation to its effects and future geoengineering are the possible solutions of global warming.” On the periphery of the board, I could see a trademark of the United Nations Framework Convention on climate change. At that point, I realized that controlling global warming begins with you as an individual.
