1. Biomes and Diversity Extinction is a natural selection process. Should humans strive to preserve a representative sample of all biomes or aquatic zones? Why should humans be concerned with the extinction rate? Biological diversity involves- vast variety of plants and animals present in nature, in their natural habitat. Human interventions and establishments are influencing biodiversity in a devastating manner. Although, efforts are going on to conserve their natural habitats, still, some of the species are quite sensitive to the changes in the environment and are not able to adjust to the environmental modifications such as pollution, scarcity of the food, water and place to mate and reproduce; these hang-ups are resulting in reduction of sensitive species and eventually cause their extinction.

Preserving a representative of all biomes cannot justify the fact that planet belongs to all natural inhabitants. Industrialization and globalization should not be the only targets, but being the most wise species of the planet, essentially, humans must be concerned about preserving natural habitat of every inhabitant of nature, in order to maintain the biological equilibrium, ecosystems and for the survival of humans as well (Biodiversity Global Issue; ).2. Trends in the EnvironmentIn the 1980s a popular environmental slogan was "Reduce, Reuse and Recycle" and now "Go Green," is a popular message.

The 3Rs have been inspiring humans to conserve nature and natural resources; reducing the use of non-biodegradable articles of plastic as they are turning out to be the biggest source of pollution of land, air and water. Recently, "Going Green" is another similar venture to promote environment friendly commodities, an effort to generate social consciousness and to safeguard environment from further destruction for paper and other plant products. Promoting go green involves using LED lighting and solar panels to minimize electricity consumption, using electronic messaging, electronic bills and payment to protect plants from destruction and save paper. This influences environment drastically as it will protect plants from destruction.
