?How does the use of mobile email devices impact on current understanding of email use? Introduction In today’s advancement of information technology, emails are integral parts of a highly sophisticated communication system. Such sophistication is tantamount to how emails are viewed significant in the communication system by creating more possible options on how they can be accessed for public consumption. In this paper, the proponent includes critical evaluation of electronic mail as a communication tool in organisations. In particular, there is a need to particularly know how does the use of mobile email devices impact on current understanding of email use. Mobile email devices In the midst of technological advancement particularly in the innovation of information technology, emails have been so important in day to day flow of business transactions, communication system and in connecting people around the world. Everyone seems cannot bear to loss communication due to the fact that to communicate at a fast pace has become a basic necessity and not a mere luxury. It is in this reason that technology has been improved prior to integrating a system that can be readily used for a fast-paced communication activity. Smart phones From their first existence in the market, smart phones have been viewed as vibrant figures of luxury due to the creation and more enhancements on their features. The manufacturing companies for smart phones are indeed successful in stimulating market needs for their line of offerings because of their acceptance not just on their features but for their entire value that cannot be exclusively defined. Laptops Laptops are other tools used in communication today. Due to their portability compared to personal computers, they are widely appreciated especially when a user travels a lot and is carrying important information that needs to be electronically stored. With their convenient package and features, laptops are sold everywhere because of their convenience and practicality depending on their specific and significant use. Combined smartphones and laptops This is the newest innovation of today’s modern times. The features of smartphones and laptops are combined together to come up with one significant products incorporating the capacity of both smartphones and laptops. This can be viewed as innovative products of leading mobile phone manufacturers in the world. One simple illustration how the features of smartphones and laptops are combined is the creation of iPods from Apple Incorporated, Blackberries and other related products carrying other brand names. Email use and the impact of mobile email devices With the advent of modern mobile devices, emails can be accessed and created everywhere especially in the presence of high speed broadband connection and wi-fi connection. However, there are different types of emails and they can be significantly identified according to their purpose. Types of emails There are different types of emails and they usually consist of spam, business and personal items. These emails are very common today and they are what make email provider companies profitable in this type of business. These emails can be accessed right away from any available mobile devices especially those that can readily surf the internet anytime, anywhere. Emails that can cause emotional reaction are those that particularly involve the issue about satisfaction and motivation which specifically cause a reaction. These emails are widely involved in the corporate setting and even outside of the business world. It depends on the main thought that is included in the email that involves it on the emotional considerations. There are also emails that express emotion and these are types that come from friends and generally from the corporate world. They can also trigger issues about satisfaction and motivation. Emails from interactive social network for instance are also capable enough to express emotions. This entertains almost everyone and entices them to go access and surf the internet. SPAM emails are hard to understand but they are all in line with marketing strategy. Emails that involve hacking and online scams are also hard to understand because at some point they involve programming languages that cannot be deciphered by a naked human eye. On the other hand, there are also emails that stimulate market needs and these are particularly bombarded by marketers into the email users. The purpose of this is to convey the message about the product or service offerings into the users’ mind. Considering that people are bombarded with different information everyday, it is important to highlight that emails such as those that aim to stimulate demand for service and product offering are important to be understood. However, at present time most of them are not understood based on what are their purposes but they are just perceived as integral parts of the modern way of conveying information. The innovative electronic communication experience Organisational communication has exactly evolved. The creation of mobile email devices such as Blackberry, smartphones and hybrid of laptops and smartphones allow an individual to work even outside of the office. It ensures employees to be easily get connected with an organisation’s demand and expectations as part of their commitment to the organisation (Middleton, 2007). The email use in this case has been widely considered as potential way to maximise firm’s ability to get connected with its employees. This is absolutely possible because of the innovative electronic communication experience that excellently finds its way to different organisation that tries to maximise the full advantage of technology. The acceptance of change According to Mullins (2010) change is a type of influence that is present everywhere and each of its aspect changes from one form to another. Mullins further added that change is an integral part of both social and organisational life. This is exactly true because an organisation continuously searches for efficiency and aggressively maximises potential and access to its people’s service. One particular example for this is the existence of Blackberry where an individual can actually work even outside of the company’s premises through access to corporate emails. This seems to be the modern version of nomadic style of working (Middleton, 2007; Mazmanian, Orlikowki & Yates, 2006). This only proves the fact that an organisation is a specific place on earth where an individual’s choice of life has significantly changed at some point. An organisation may be able to demand more from its employees and this is tantamount to how an individual reacted or obeyed to policies and procedures even at some point it is against one’s free will and would mean entire change of attitude towards how work should be done. For instance, as stated earlier there are different types of emails. There are emails that actually express emotion or those that can cause emotional reaction. Suppose a certain employee is on a vacation. Such event must be excellently enjoyed to the fullest. Due to the availability of mobile phones, smartphones and laptops, an organisation can easily get connected with that employee. This is a modern way of trying to carry work even on a special occasion. The result can be so depressing considering that the work at the office can still be carried even outside of the work premises. This is how effective an organisation in implementing revolutionary change in the workplace. This can be justified by the presence of emails that are accessible everywhere through modern mobile communication gadgets. This is an obvious justification on how an organisation has successfully changed the workplace and at some points the attitudes of its people. Mullins therefore is correct with his stand that an organisation has significant contribution to the change of one’s life and attitude at how work has to be carried out. The existence of Blackberry for instance as an efficient email device is a clear picture of how an organisation maximises its control advantage over its employees. Organisation’s experience is definitely a way to create significant change how business and work has to be conducted in modern times amidst the revolutionary upward shift of technological advantage. This is how corporate culture trend is going at present. Change is definitely inevitable as Mullins argued. Change is part of the cultural dimension of an organisation. This is justified by the fact that organisation tries to create impact on all aspect of human experience (Martin, 2005). The amount of influence that an organisation can impact an individual is a concrete determinant of leadership (Torrington, Hall & Taylor, 2008). This leadership is a specific way to create significant change among the lives of individuals especially those in the corporate setting. Conclusion The familiarity of the concept of change is pervasive because it is constantly evolving especially in an organisation. One of organisation’s objects of change is its human resource as primarily important part as far as implementation of change is concerned. One important ways how an organisation may be able to maximise its advantage is to go for change. Such of this change is evident to how it conducts business with its employees over the course of time especially in the midst of technological revolution. The presence of high-technologically advanced information system, gadgets and management system enables company to substantially and effectively change the way how it interacts with its human resource. The presence of mobile email devices particularly introduces the whole communication system process of an organisation into a fast pace stage. References Martin, J.
